The food here is decent but isn’t exciting. However, let’s be realistic, most of us don’t hit this place up for the food. Their beer selection is second to none with constant new additions and local brews and their wait staff is knowledgeable and stunning.

Huge place, large patio, in more or less a strip mall setting. Plenty of parking. Friendly service. They’ll do a flight of Texas beers, but they choose the beers - I would rather do that, and it’s OK if you charge me a bit more if I select a 10% beer or something. Food is basic, non-creative pub grub.

It’s strange how you can look through a taplist of 80 taps, and be underwhelmed, but this was my experience. Service seemed a bit understaffed and uninterested, though they were working hard. I’ve been to a lot better Flying Saucer locations.

Eh, your standard Flying Saucer with TX beer focus. Our server was not too good, and another server spent the whole time we were there chatting up some dude, probably her boyfried. Good thing other patrons did not need attention.

Nice chain beer bar in SATX. They have trivia nights and the like. Food is good and as expected. Service was great.

Visited October 2011.

This is a chain that has a ton of taps and a decent number of them are locals, so it’s a good place to start if you aren’t from Texas. That said it’s got a chain feel to it and just like anyone that has this many taps it’s hard to keep track of them all, even for the bar. The outside seating was nice even if it was packed. They do samplers which makes it easier to try some locals. They also had the Green Flash / St Feuillien collaboration which was nice. Prices aren’t bad, especially during happy hour. They also have some of the Belgian classics like Chimay, Rodenbach, and St Bernardus. Parking was a pain in this parking lot but there was also a cool used book store a couple doors down. Not a bad place to hang out but not exactly down town.

The first thing I noticed about this location was that is was in a very generic stip mall building - most of the Saucers I’ve been to are in unique buildings. $3 pints on Monday nights, good selection of american and European micros.

Nice place when it’s not too busy, although it’s got a loud sports bar type atmosphere when its crowded. Some of the waitstaff have been there awhile and are pretty knowledgeable about the beers (most of the taps seem to be the same ones for the last 10 years, btw). They still have one of the biggest selections in town.

A very decent place to have some beers if your in the area. however, i thought that their TX lineup was lacking compared to the Garland, TX location. THey did have a few rare/notworthy selections though, so that made it all the better. Bartender was very friendly and i would definatley go back if im in this area.
