Folkklubs Ala Pagrabs

Huge underground bar/restaurant with a bit of a medieval vibe. Stopped here for some food and traditional Latvian beers. Food was to my liking and the beers were interesting. Folk music playing to add to the medieval atmosphere, but this place gets very noisy/busy so be warned.

Interesting place down below the streets of Riga, cavernous feeling as you enter down the stairs, and it stays that way, vaulted ceilings, very big place. Food looked very good, but I found some interesting local beers on tap and settled with a couple of those. Fast service, will for sure revisit

Big underground pub in the old town of Riga. Good viebes, darker lit. Solid beers on tap with macros dominating.

Have been here few times, great ambiance, good food, some selection of beers on tap, but lot of tourists and can be very full at times.

Huge underground complex thats very busy and hot, first time we tried to enter it was full. Second time it was a bit less full. Very hot and loud inside. It has a vibe, but meh. The beer platter was awesome though with the assortment of food. Beer selection is decent. Dont know what to think of it, it was good but also bad due to the music and heat.

Lots of hype here but it wasn’t my scene. Visited later, massively big cellar bar. 2 bars. Folk musician playing, music oddly put through speakers, everyone talking on top, strange vibe. Lots of beer on tap but I found the traditional and most of them elsewhere in better quality, people eating. Too crowded, odd music,… You can find beer in better quality elsewhere. Like a Latvian Delirum Cave in my opinion. Not my thing.
