A small brewbar within the Founders Park. 6 kegs of the Founders range all brewed out back in the on-site brewery visible from the bar area. Tasting tray of all 6 beers available for just $10 at time of writing. Friendly staff and the brewers are pottering about and keen to chat. Food available and well-priced but I didn’t sample though it looked good.

Visited in april 2009. I got a free taste of all their beers on tap to help me decide which beer to buy on bottle. Very friendly bartender. As I recall, they only have their own beers available, which are decent. Nice area, a farmers market was held in the park when I was there. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Nelson.

This organic brewery and cafe was tucked into the middle of a preserved historic village in a historic park in Nelson. The village itself cost $7 to get into for non-Nelson residents, so that was a bit frustrating for two guys who just wanted lunch and beer and couldn’t care less about the rest of the quaint village park. As for the brewpub itself, it is small and cozy, with a walk-up counter for food and drink orders. The food was mixed; I had a burger that I really enjoyed but my buddy didn’t like his veggie pizza that much. At least everything was organic and fresh. The beers are solid and we each did a tasting rack to try them all (5 available when we visited). They couldn’t host a tour while we were there and I have a hard time imagining that the extra $7 for that would be worth it since the place appeared to be just a room or two. Not bad overall but could have been better.

Little organic brewery in the middle of Founders Park, a little village full of heritage buildings and craftsman. It is truly tiny, but homey and comfortable with a number of tables inside and out. Snacks and baked goods available. Their five standard beers are on tap, along with a seasonal offering. Unfortunately they had run out o their Duncan Weizen seasonal while I was there. Quiet and small, but good people and decent beer. If you cannot make it to the brewery, they now bottle their standard offerings of red, blonde, black, brown (Generation), and Fair Maiden ales.

Small Brewery and cafe in Founders Park, north of Nelson town centre. Ordered a sample tray with 6 beers including the recently brewed Duncan weizen, though the Fair Maiden is the standout of the bunch. The guys are extremely friendly and showed us through the brewery out back.
