Nice place to hit in CP, crowded on gamedays.. nice selection of taps, even sours! good pub food.

Finally, my 50th brewpub rating. Trekked over here down US1/Baltimore Ave through University of Maryland. Traffic is always heavy. Thankfully, this place is off the campus main area and has its own parking lot that you pay digitally for 25 cents an hour- super cheap. Interior is cavernous with odd lawn art decor. Funky/quirky vibe. Server was in a great mood, upbeat. Food was larger plate, lots of soups/salads/sandwiches for good prices some more expensive entrees like salmon that didn’t look as interesting. The Mediterranean "thingy" was very good though not sure how to eat it as the pita wasn’t big enough to eat as a gyro and not cut up so as to eat it in little morsels. Cole slaw actually very good. Beer was about 9+ taps of house beers only with a good dose of specialties and seasonals. Quality was average to above average. Their funky sour mash beer was very good, much better than the hoppy stuff. Pumpkin stout was disappointing. Flight of 4 samples was 5 and you can tack on more 3oz samplers for I’m guessing $1.25 each. So good value, good service, okay beer. Just out of the way unless you are around College Park a lot.

Well worth the quick trip from DC! Quirky furnishings and exposed ductwork. Sort of family oriented, which I’m not so much into, but mid day durig the week this place is chill. The seasonal and specialty one offs are usually awesome, including their scotch ale and Van Damme Belgian strong. As a vegetarian, the menu offers some options, my favorite of which is the veggie pot pie. Serving sizes are massive, making the pricing seem a bit less salty.

Made it there for the first time last Saturday. Was greeted by some very happy employees. Found a seat at the bar - happy hour prices on quesadillas. Pretty decent selection of their house brews, also liked that you can get pre-filled bottles downstairs in the general store (some bottles aren’t on tap), as well as growler fills.

The general store is a hoot, with tons of bizarre stuff (turkey leg hat anyone?) jam packed into a large-ish space. The beer selection is incredible, and rarities abound. Of course, they also do growler sales of all 10 beers on tap, and a few that have just kicked. Food in the restaurant was average. Beers are mostly pretty tasty, and you can do samplers in multiple sizes. Worth the quick zip from DC.

Unique place - restaurant / bar with large "general store" that sells novelites, candies, beer / wine. Food was very good, service at the table was also good. I was surprised that for a small place they had 10 of their own beers on tap. Samples were only $1 for 4oz. I tried 6 beers and really enjoyed all but 1. That was my first visit and a very good experience... will come back (even though it’s a little tough to get to).

Nice little place off rte 1, solid beers, and good service. Food was also decent, nothing mind blowing. One thing I was quite disappointed in was the cleanliness of the glassware. Every single glass was dirty, even inside. Even replacement glasses were dirty, so we just had to drink fast and get out.

Overall, a neat idea of having a brewery with the General Store. The beers were good and there was a variety of styles. I tried no food, but what I saw looked good. The wait staff seem very busy but do not seem to produce much.

Located right downtown with a cheap parking lot immediately adjacent. Kind of a cool vibe. The menu was expansive and cheap, pub food, but I’m glad I didn’t eat given the fact the beer absolutely sucked and from what I saw, they didn’t seem to see the need to keep perishables cold. Bartender and hostess both seemed preoccupied. On the bright side, the store is cool, and is quite a nice bottle shop. I got several bottles including some that were out of stock elsewhere. They were on the pricy side. Overall it’s an interesting place, but not one I’ll probably be making again.

Decent brewpub in the heart of Hyattsville. Used to avoid going here to often because the brewer, while definitely innovative, lacked a little in the execution department. Beers tended to be overly hopped and always tasted slightly off. A new brewer has recently taken over and the quality of the beers has improved significantly. The beer selection is nice, with a few solid standards and some nice seasonals thrown into the rotation. The place is very family friendly and has a nice toy store attached to the restaurant. There’s a nice bottle selection in the back of the shop as well. Worth a visit.
