The beer manager Tom is a great guy and really stays on top of the newest releases. They do a facebook page, however I never use it. The store is down the street from my house and I go in at least once a week to check it out. Royal and Gomers are really the only stores worth going to without driving to Lukas Liquor which is soo far out of the way, its hard to argue it is worth the drive. Berbiglia is just a waste of time, Jack and Ralph (owners) are a joke and will say this like "oh the brewery burnt down" instead of carrying a product or all the grapes in Spain this year are terrible and not carry any Spanish wines

I visit here every once in awhile. They have a pretty nice beer selection, a good number of bombers. They aren’t quite up to par with Royal or Lukas, but a nice secondary store with a good selection.

Stopped by yesterday to see how this Gomer’s compares to the others. They are limited by their size, so the other locations have larger selections. Still not on the same level as Lukas and Royal. Did find a North Coast Barrel Aged Old Rasputin XV.

Great little beer store that has a surprisingly lartge selection despite the dimensional challenges. Tons of good stuff from all over the world and America; I’m envious that this place isn’t MY local beer store. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

July 3rd visit, had very organized shelves, good cooler selection, sale prices and helpful/knowledgeable staff. Let a friend try a beer before purchasing, very unique concept. Will definitley visit again while in KC.

Easily my least favorite of the Gomer’s stores. I will hit it on occasion when stopping by other local places, but am never impressed. The one thing they have going is selection (although still lagging behind local Royal and Lukas and there counterpart Gomer’s), there is plenty of offerings, but no real rhyme or reason to the layout. They are pretty short on cooler doors, so 90 percent plus is stacked on the cramped shelves. Prices are in line with other local stores. Place is in a dumpy part of the city, so maybe that’s why the staff seems on edge and not friendly. Regardless, you can feel comfortable skipping this one.

Seriously disorganised: If they got their act together (and some folks here are being kind when they rate it) I’d add another 5 to 6 points overall. Staff: usually friendly and helpful but they are dealing with the same disorganisation.

It’s a liquor store with a great selection, plus they sell cheeses and other foods appropriate for the selection of beverages they sell. Helpful staff when unable to find what you’re looking for.

I have visited multiple times. Selection is less than Lukas KC or Royal 103rd, about on par with Gomers in midtown. Having said that, there are beers to be found here for locals, though if I was visiting from out of town I would hit one of the other stores mentioned. No mix a six offered. Service has been consistently null over the years. Beer is scattered in a couple of places, so make sure to look around. This place is a real dump, inside and out, though it does have character. On the plus side, prices here are pretty good. Update May 2009 - beer organization and selection have been improving.

Descent selection of imports (Belgians & UK) and a few locals for the Kansas City area. However, they did not have many beers that I had not previously tried.
