Great place to visit fellow craftbeer fans when visiting from out of town. It didn’t take long for me to be "adopted" by a local group. When I mention I was in town from NYC just to drink beer and checkout the Portland craftbeer scene...the whole group started making suggestions about where to drink in Portland...what to drink in Portland...and what to eat in Portland (that they sent me to Cascade & Apizza Scholls was a monumental success on their part). Fun place to sit outside at picnic tables with a group...good selection of beers...but mostly...just great beer people to hangout with.

Stopped here randomly on a trip to Portland. In no time I had a pint of Pliny the Elder and a 750 of speedway stout to go. Great open plan place with tons of great beer on tap. Wish I lived in Portland.

A cool place close to an agglomeration of other Portland famous beer heavens. Warehouse style with picnic tables inside and outside, large bar, 5 house beers, over 50 guest taps and an S&M cow! House beers are average. Sampler is 5 X 5 on for 6.25$. Visited during the Wedge Cheese Fest happening just outside, so this was really nice to have cheeses with good beers.

Essentially across the street from Cascade-- bonus! This was a great stop! Lots of taps, including a front-of-bar set and a back-of-bar set with different choices at each. In-house beers were served from the back. Loads of space, no trouble getting a table on a Saturday night. Would definitely return.

Big industrial space in SE Portland, just around the corner from Cascade Brewing. Lots of games available for use. There’s a 20 tap front bar and a 30 tap back bar but you can order anything at either. Their own beers are pretty interesting, although I can’t say I loved most of the ones I had. Some of the regular lines had a pretty serious pedio problem as well. Despite some of the deficiencies, the vibe is totally awesome and my wife and I spent quite a bit of time here during our visit.

This was a cool place ... Something out of the norm... Unfortunatly for them there beer sucked... I had to order a beer from another brewer which isn’t good .. Because there was ten of us in our party and we didn’t like any of there beers... Good luck

I’ve been to green dragon a few times on my trips to portland. It’s been rec’d by friends in town and I’ve yet to be disappointed. It’s definitely a hipster atmosphere, but that doesn’t bother me too much. I’ve never actually sat on the inside part of the bar, I’ve normally gone to the patio in the back. It’s very relaxed back there. It’s never been a problem getting beers from either the wait staff or the bartenders. On top of that, they have a mammoth selection of taps. The key is going to the back of the inside bar to get at their biggest variety of taps. I still have yet to have food from here. It’s normally a stop after drinking+eating somewhere else. Its proximity to Cascade will always bring me back, but even then I’d still come back here as its a real quality place to grab a brew.

Multiple seating areas, restaurant, patio, beer hall. Service is decent for a place this size. Selection is great with over 50 taps of beer from everywhere. Food is standard pub fair. It is nestled between some other great bars and makes for a nice stop in between.

Visited twice during my week in Portland - the first time I waiting for someone to aknowledge me for the better part of half and hour, finally left and walked across the street to Cascade. The 2nd time was totally different - the bartender was friendly and helpful. Two sets of taps with a variety of brews. Didn’t eat anything but the food smelled great. Must of been an off day the first visit.
