Up the street from Barleys. Dropped in for a pint. Decent service and vibe.

This place sucks. Oddly, locals go here. I don’t know why. I went a couple times when I first moved to Asheville. First time, I was served "fairly" quickly and enjoyed a local brewed bottle and some deep-fried something or other (fish and chips of some kind, which I could have microwaved from frozen at home with similar results). The second time I waited for 20 minutes for a server and was completely ignored, so I walked out. The place is on the very touristy Biltmore Ave in downtown Asheville so the place no doubt shall remain in business. For those in the know, this place is a no-go.

Popped in for a bathroom break and stayed for a pint. Sits right on the main drag in Asheville. Has a very nice selection of taps, both local and mostly English ales. Bartender was very nice and attentive. Wish I could have stayed longer, seemed like a cool place.

ok, it is an irish pub, and they do have a great selection of belgians with the glass to match, a plus, this place is relatively nice on a slower night, sometimes they try to cram a band in, cool, but not if you just want to try some beer, it can get too loud, in any other city this bar would get a great rating, it is a cool spot with a great selection, but hey, it is asheville, competition is touph.....

Irish and British pub. That pretty much sums it up. Some predictable draughts with a few local brews mixed in, and a fair bottle selection. Some tasty pub grub is available as well. The private enclosed patio area is nice, as well.

Visited in November 2006. We stopped by in late afternoon on a Saturday and the place was packed. Most of the crowd was either dining with family or watching football (the Michigan - Ohio State game was on). The selection, for the most part, was good but pretty much typical for Asheville. Certainly worth stopping by if you’re bar hopping in Asheville but not really worth a special trip.

One of my favorite places to hang out in Asheville. The food is good and if you want European beer this is the best place to find it. Love it.

Irish pub in downtown Asheville with plenty of taps to choose from. It’s just up the street from Barley’s Tap Room. Didn’t try any of the food as I visited after 11PM. The place was crowded, but the bartenders managed to keep up pretty well. I had an Ommegang Witte and an Ohara’s Celtic stout. Not a bad place.

This is pretty much just a standard British style pub. It’s got the normal selection of British imports along with a good selection of regional micros. The food is standard pub fare and certainly not bad. There just really isn’t anything outstanding enough about this place to make me spend less time at other hot spots in Asheville to come here.
