Visited on a Friday afternoon. Cool brewpub located in an old warehouse/mill building, with a modern interior. 8 beers on tap when I visited. Beer flights are available in multiples of 5. I didnít try the food but I have heard from numerous people that it is really good, especially the weekend brunch. I was really impressed with the beers. Almost all the beers on tap were belgian styles, with a couple of IPAs as well. This is my first visit to Heist since moving to Charlotte 6 months ago, as I had heard the beer quality was lacking, but apparently they got a new brewer a few months back, and the beers I had were quite good. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you are a fan of belgian styles.

Cool brewpub in an awesome old building - my understanding is that it used to be an old cotton mill. We stopped by for a few ticks and really enjoyed our time here. I got a flight of 5 and all were solid, so it seems theyíve worked out whatever issues they had earlier. Service was fine, and we didnít get any food.

An excellent brewpub. Every beer we tried was very good to great. The food was great as well. It is not your typical brewpub. The food is all served tapas style and is quite good. We had duck flatbread (duck with root beer BBQ sauce, shallots, and mozzarella on flatbread), Diablo chicken (small pieces of spicy chicken wrapped in smoked jalapeŮo bacon), salmon belly tacos (served on a sticky bun), and fry basket ribs (ginger braised ribs with root beer BBQ sauce and mango salsa). We enjoyed every beer we tried. Aside from the San Fran Disco, which was a great citrusy hoppy American style pale ale, the beers were all Belgian style ales. I also tried the Bad Moon Rye-son (an excellent saison brewed with rye malt), the Mussels from Brussels (a great Belgian Pale Ale), and the Father Bob (a light Belgian session ale).

A short drive down the road from Birdsong and NoDa - huge building with a large dining room and upstairs area. I didnít try any of the food but had a flight. Dug the San Fran Disco quite a bit - mostly Belgian-style brews.

An excellent new brewpub in Charlotte. I donít know if I just happened to sample their best beers or maybe they have worked out some of the kinks in earlier batches, but all 3 beers I had were solid, above-average, even excellent beers. Either way, the beer quality was much better than prior ratings suggest. Anyway, this is a new place in NoDa, slightly further down N Davidson St away from the major bustle. It is a pretty large place with 3 subsections, 2 bars, and a larger seating area. I believe they had 6 beers on tap. I got to try a pale ale, IIPA, and foreign stout and enjoyed all 3. The food menu looked great, although I didnít get anything - lots of unique items made with local ingredients. Very bustling on a Friday night and they had live music - a jazz band was playing when I was there and they were pretty good. A must see in Charlotte.

A beautiful brewpub with interesting wooden plank decor, impressive. Service was very friendly, first name basis, Small food menu which looked very good and upscale. 12 taps available, but the beers are a bit soporific and boring, 5 X 5 on for 6 $.

Nice modern low key vibe. Service was good. Nice selection of their own brews. Shared an appetizer which was tasty but small for the $- beer prices decent. The couple we had were decent but not fantastic. Overall a nice visit- glad we stopped in here.

Itís pretty cool for Charlotte that they have 3 breweries with about a third of a mile from each other on the same road. Between the exposed stone and brick and the woodwork, this place is stunning. Dead when I was there mid-day on a Monday. The bartender (I forget her name) was exceptionally helpful. I did not eat. 5 beer sampler for $6 or so, and while there are a lot of options, some of them were good but some were pretty poor. Hopefully that will improve with time..
