very good food, and it’s own beer, brewed by St Bernardus

Associated(owned by?) with the St Bernard brewery and sells all their beers.One of a number of cafes in the square that make a sunny Sunday afternoon in Watou an absolute treat.

Nice little stop while in Watou. We were there early, so it was pretty much dead. Decent selection of beers and worth the stop if you are in the area.

Nice little corner bar that specializes in the beers from Watou. You can get all the St B there. The inside is very ellegant and wood carvings everywhere. Plenty of parking out front.

A pleasant little cafe close to Poperinge, in Watou, the village that is home to some heavyweight brewers - Van Ecke & St Bernardus (with Westvleteren and De Bie very close). House beer is a pleasant flemish brown that’s lightly soured. St Bernardus Wit & Triple also on tap, with the full range in bottles as well as bottles from Van Ecke and further a field. Certainly not the place for lambic, but you wouldn’t expect it to be, Palace in Poperinge had a good selection of them, though.
