Just a little way from Holborn station the Whippet is a decent pub. Has 2 rooms and bar in the middle, has a decent mix of craft and cask beers, kept in good condition featuring beers from local breweries and some from further afield, although generally the same few.
Service good, food is decent too. Might not pick up anything too new here that isnít on in the Tap or Cask/Craft chains but worth a look

Decent selection of keg and cask at very reasonable prices, pleasant staff, very attentive, and offered tastings and opinions, which is cool.

Pizza Place and pub. Six different casks, no really interesting beers. Quite crowded and loud on a monday night. There are better places in London, but maybe worth a short visit if in the area.

A bare-bones drinking house. Seems to be the worst-kept secret in Holborn, but never mind. Five cask and nine keg offerings from the likes of Siren, Redemption, Moor and Buxton, as well as a few German offerings. A new craft beer pub (well, new to me anyway) is always a good thing. However the Holborn Whippet doesnít push the boat out with selection: mostly low-medium ABV offerings of the more widely available styles. You canít fault the prices though: £5 for a pint of craft keg, less than £4 for a pint of cask. The very basic menu includes the elusive currywurst.

Much enjoyed, but wish I had more time to try more. The server was gone a bit, but for good reason as the wind was whipping the awnings about in a blustery wind. At the time I was there (afternoon) it was very relaxed and just what I needed at the time.

Visited Saturday as part of a crawl round Covent Garden and nearby on 16/8/14. Nice bar with great selection if a bit confusing as there were so many on the board.

A nice bar split up into 3 sections in a big square. Nice bar with good service. Decent selection of beers with reasonable prices. Food looked but we didnít eat. A nice place, but nothing special.

Great place, not too far from the British Museum. Tap setup looks cool, and a good range of British, German and US craft. Burgers, etc. are ok. Havenít tried the pizzas yet, but will on my next visit.
