76 Stopped in on the Sunday of the conference championships. Decent ambiance, it wasn’t too loud, and the decor was understated for a sports place. Food was good to very good; the tres leches bread pudding was the highlight. Beer selection was very good, and included some locals that don’t get enough love. (Southern Star.) A little pricey, but worth it. |
76 Stopped in for breakfast prior to the Cask Ale fest at Flix. The atmosphere kind of reminded me of the former ESPN zone in Chicago. Lots of TVs and sports related memorabilia Service was good but there also weren’t to many in for Sunday brunch. Selection was surprisingly good with some nice rotating taps. I had a flat bread which was alright and prices were competitive. I wouldn’t go out of my way but if you are in the area worth a stop. |
84 Sports bar with a nice tap list. Indoor and outdoor seating. Large TVs both inside and out. Lots of parking because it’s located in a strip mall. Very spacious. Lots of really cool sports-related decor. Cool table located inside a hockey penalty box if that’s your thing. They’ll change the channel of the TV in front of you to any game you want. Cool firkin being tapped tonight - (512) Pecan Porter with Cocoa Nibs and Blueberries (very cool). The food is fantastic. Great Mediterranean salad and flatbread. I recommend both with chicken and shrimp added for an additional cost. Plus, as an added bonus, there’s Walt! |
70 Yeah, it’s a sports bar, but they’ve got a solid selection on tap and the food is good. Speedy service to boot. Stop by if you’re in the area, or dropping by Flix anyway. |
62 Aside from Walt working here, it’s a pretty cool place. The fries are awesome, and the burgers ain’t too shabby. Beer selection is a little lacking but since Flix is on the other side of the strip center, that’s not too bad. |
84 I stopped by a few times during RBWG 2012. It’s a nice restaurant, dim, with somewhat fancy-ish decor on the restaurant side. It’s like a combo restaurant and sports bar of sorts. I sat at the bar once and in the restaurant once and both times the servers/bartenders knew what was on tap and bits about the brews. One time my beer was messed up and they promptly got me a new one. A very solid selection and they seem to pull in some limited and new brews as well. The food I had was pretty darn tasty. The beers were all priced average. The food was maybe a bit high for a college boy like me, but definitely not unreasonable for what I got. Overall, if you want a nice bar and restaurant with good beers, head here. |
72 Big restaurant with plenty of seating. Good service, good beer and good food. What else do you need! |
82 Great food. Great service. Nice beer selection. Very friendly. Highly recommend. Great for beer lovers and kids. |
82 They manage to get some really stellar beers here - definiely worth stopping in to see what is going on. |
72 Stopped by with a few buddies at the behest of Walt himself. Sports bar type atmosphere; we were met at the door by cheerleaders. Heck yeah. Walt quickly stopped by and chatted us up. We were able to grab a few beers and some grub before hitting the road again. Cool place; I wish them luck getting better distribution. |
