Visited this pub 19/1-2013. Large cornerpub, with the bar just inside the doors, not very crowded. Lots of small table. Beers in good condition. In the back of the pub there are an eating area, unfortunately the smell of food were all over the pub...

Good spot. Nice cask range. Average prices. They had a small festival running when I visited (about six gravity casks in addition to their normal handpump offerings), which was nice to see. Plenty of seating in this place. Friendly bartender. They have board games and books to keep you occupied. I could kill a lot of time in here.

New on my radar - this used not to be a free house, but is certainly well worth visiting now it is. I only saw 4 real ales here, I don’t know how many of the "taps" tally was fizzy muck which I don’t even consider worth mentioning when you’ve got real ales available. Range of breweries was good. Quality was good too. Special bonus staff score for the voluntary cellar run which was offered even though I had asserted "I will come back for the Oakham". Does ale festivals every so often it seems. Lovely looking place, half boozer, half pub, half restaurant. Will definitely try to come here when I’m in Cambridge.
