Amazing bottleshop. They hadn’t even opened yet when i arrived at 13:00, but the owner was receiving beer, but he kindly let me in. Helped me a lot with selecting the good stuff! They have loads of traditional good german beer as well as some german and foreign craft beer! They also have some belgian stuff. Would go back here in a heartbeat.

Serious German beer shop. 3 mini fridges with selections cooled down in case you want one now. Small intl. selection, but that’s not why you wanna swing by this joint. Seperated by style the place is a veritable who’s who in German beer. Not just the classics, but also some fine German craft as well. Extremely helpful owner. Gave lots of recommendations and even let me in on his secret stash. Maybe the bezt bottleshop i’ve ever visited.

Visited a couple of times whilst in Berlin, 22nd April 15. I had emailed with some requests which Ludgar kindly held for me. I picked up another few beers. Great selection of German beers, on which I am no expert, I asked for recommendations, in total I took back 11 bottles, in a heavy suitcase. The place is reasonable, like Germany in general, it’s cash only, which seemed the case everywhere in Berlin!

Small shop with great strength in small, traditional Franconian brewers, but also smart selections of Belgian ales and new-wave stuff from the US, Germany and elsewhere. Reasonable prices, especially considering the breadth. Ludger is a thoughtful aficionado with his own views on what’s good, independent from what is hyped -- just the sort of shopkeeper you want making suggestions, should you need any.

(Visited July 2014) Nice little beer shop in the residential area of Wedding, not too far away from Eschenbräu.Fairly small, just one room, but with a really good selection, mainly of German beers, both from new micros and more traditional brewers. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Well worth a detour.

It’s a small shop located in a good part of Berlin. Shelves full of different beers greet the customer upon entering, with a great selection of brews from all over the world. Beers from unknown American breweries are available, next to beers from the United Kingdom and Belgian beers like St. Bernardus 12 and Struise Pannepot (!!!). I noticed a few Polish and Dutch brews too. There’s a selection of ciders too. Most of the beers are German though, including specialities such as Gose and Franconian Rauchbier. The prices are fair.

Ludger has probably the best selection of german beers. It’s the best I have ever seen. He has some great Helles and Pils, not your average industrial stuff. Also have some good imports, more coming from Poland and the Czech republic all the time.

with all things said before, another extra about this bottle shop is the beer crates you can grab to have some bottles right in front of the shop. Also, the shop is located where the old meets the new Wedding spirit. Nice!

The shop is located in a quiet street that mostly consists of apartment buildings, but are not hard to spot with its colorful shop signs and their window display. The shop owner is a very nice and knows much about beer. He is quite talkative and have full control over what happens on the beer scene in Berlin and Germany in general. The selection of German beers is impeccable and the shelves are sorted by beer types. Here you can’t find beer from the most commercial German breweries, but happily all available bottled beers from micro breweries around Berlin, and other rare beers from German breweries. The range of beers from foreign microbreweries are not too bad with beers from De Molen, Mikkeller and Kinn (!). The prices are great but remember to bring cash as the store does not take cards. The store has been in operation for only 2.5 years but seems to attract both beer hunters looking for new beers, and other beer lovers that will pick up some bottles in the passing. The shop owner is not late to pop a beer and share it with visiting beer enthusiasts.
