Stopped in here to check out their selection while in town on vacation. Glad I did - good beer selection, and some really helpful people there. I needed the Wifi PW, and they actually went out of their way to make a phone call to get it. Not the best selection, as it’s a combo beer/wine shop, but they did tend to focus on some of the less easily findable beers. Glad I came here.

Not the best beer store in Asheville, but it’s not really a beer store either. For a place that maybe 1/4 beer with the other 3/4 given to wine and homebrew / winemaking supplies, has a decent selection of beers and fairly standard pricing. I bought a 4 pack with a broken bottle and had no problem getting a replacement on my next visit.

Nice store in West Asheville. Not a huge selection of beer, but it is quality stuff including good selection of locals. Homebrew supplies are a definite bonus and I was able to pick up some hops the last time I was there that I couldn’t find anywhere else in town.

It looks like one of the premiere bottle shops in West Asheville. It’s a nice layout with the store split between craft beer and wine with a fairly large section in the back for homebrew supplies. they also have a couple of coolers of sixers. They have a very small pick six cooler. They have a lot of the selection of Bruisin Ales and Appalachian Vintner which can be good if you’re looking for something that’s sold out at the other stores. The folks who worked there seem liked they’ve put a lot of effort and energy into the store. I think most folks would count themselves lucky to have this kind of bottle shop in their neighborhood.

AMBIENCE - Probably the best thing about this place is that it is right by the Westville Pub and Universal Joint, both fine places to grab a pint or food. Interior is pretty meh. SERVICE - Depends on when you go, varies. SELECTION - Small but appealing. They always have JW Lees Harvest Ale in various vintages, plus some of the more interesting imports around. It’s worth a stop because you never know what might be there.

A beer store with a twist. They also sell wine and brewing supplies, and have a couple of taps in the back where you can get a pint. They often host homebrewing events and tastings so you’ll never know what will be on. Stop by Friday between 5-7 for the beer tastings. The owner is a champion brewer and knows beer.

The beer selection is adequate with a good selection of local brews, imports, and micros. The biggest reasons to go here are they sometimes have beers that have already sold out at Bruisin’ Ales and the prices are lower. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Homebrew supplies and instructional classes are available here. It’s a cool little store located in western Asheville.

A couple of coolers but most of the beer is not chilled. Some singles are available. They also sell homebrewing supplies and offer classes. Localed a block away from a good beer bar, which is cool. The person working was very nice and helpful. Worth a stop.

I stopped by here on my way back from Brewgrass looking for an item that had been back ordered at several other shops, but with no luck. A little bit of wine, a little bit of beer and some homebrewing supplies. I did find some beers that had sold out at Brusin’ Ales at significantly lower prices I might add. The guy at the register was helpful, eager to order anything not in stock for me, and he appeared to know his brewing. This place may be new, and if it is, it might be worth watching.
