82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 JStax (72) Devola/Marietta, Ohio | February 2, 2013 If you live in the area, odds are you don’t even know this place is around. When you do figure it out though, it’s like finding a bag full of money in an old barn. The beer and wine selection at this restaurant/retailer is the best in at least a 50 mile radius. 700 plus labels of beer and more than 3000 labels of wine to choose from (according to the owners). This place has never let me down. They always have and I’m sure always will have something I’ve never heard of but am willing to try. If you are willing to buy a case, the owner will special order something for you regardless of what it is. The two owners, an older couple, are both great knowledgeable people on beer and wine. The food is all made from scratch and is magnificent. The food can be a bit pricey but it is well worth it. The beer is priced reasonably though. Most beers aren’t refrigerated but as far as I’m concerned, if you can’t wait for it to get cold, you’re probably a drunk that shouldn’t be drinking anyway. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 weihenweizen (93) Charleston Area, West Virginia | March 2, 2010| Updated May 10, 2013 Best selection in the Mid-Ohio Valley. New owners have arranged the beer so you can more easily see what is available. Some singles of large format bottles and some singles of the more expensive brews. My biggest complaint is they don’t allow breaking up six-packs or four-packs. Has some harder to get stuff and most of his beer is a great value. The restaurant has really good food. Dining decor is a little dated. I have gotten some older beer that has been past its prime, so look at the date is possible. They get some AleSmith, seasonal Three Floyds, trappist, along with other highly rated beers. Overall if you live in the area or are traveling I77, I suggest stopping by. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 drunkmonkey (1) mineral wells, Alabama | May 6, 2009| Updated May 10, 2013 DEFINATELY THE BEST SELECTION ANYWHERE IN MID-OHIO VALLEY. Erlan the owner is great to do business with and knows good beer. |
