Pretty good selection of beers, although you need to pay attention to the dates on them. They tend to get new, usually American micros in every week or so. Good service, good beer store overall.

Four HyVee grocery stores in town, no liquor stores? Where am I?!? Thankfully this store delivered in terms of a quality selection. Much like Woodmans in WI and northern IL, the liquor store had a separate entrance, but inside was adjacent to the grocery store. Sam was the guy running the place, he was at the register and on the floor also. We chatted about their selection briefly, and he pointed out the warm aisle shelves. Also he mentioned this was the largest selection in Davenport in the HyVee chain. I tended to believe him after I saw the warm shelves. Picked up a Boulevard collaboration #1 Imperial Pilsner, and a couple 4-packs from the Point "whole hog" series: RIS and Raspberry Saison. Bells (Oberon mini-kegs and extensive sixers), Boulevard smokestack series, Saranac, Millstream (sixers and sampler cases), Left Hand, Alpha Dog bombers, too many Rogue bombers (10-12), Great River tallboy cans ($7 4-pack), Big Sky, Summit, Lakefront, Ft. Collins, also 2-pack SA perfect pint glasses. Imports on the warm shelf were varied with a nice assortment. Celebrator, Weihenstephaner, Ayinger, Orval, Duvel, Rochefort, Traquair, and many other quality selections, maybe 200+ beers in all here. Overall this was far better than the selection at the other HyVee on West Kimberly, and the best beer store I visited while in the Quad Cities.

Grocery store liquor department, not expecting much but it was in between Front Street and Bent River. Grabbed two bottles of Boulevard limited series and the manager as he walked by said "Someone’s buying some good beer" Yeah, that was about it in terms of beer. There was the usual New Belgium, Goose Island and other regional offerings, but not too much in terms of craft beer. But our community rated those bottles at 94 and 96, so the trip was worth it.

This store is about a mile from my house. Pretty nice selection for a chain grocery store. The brands mentioned by jpm30 are everpresent on the shelves. Not a knowledgeable beer group, wine is more their forte. Not worth the effort if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary.

This HyVee Wine & Spirits is the second best beer store I’ve found in the Quad Cities area, on either side of the river. You will find one row of warm imports and micros in the middle of the store and in back, a long open shelved cooler. This store has Chimay and Lindemans, with no other Belgians. You will find selections from Breckenridge, Flying Dog, Capital, Sam Adams, Saranac, Sierra Nevada and Rogue, including a selection of bomber bottles by the front counter, but no Millstream is to be found. A decent import selection, the usual imports, Bass, Guinness, etc..., plus a few German and Czech beers and a good selection of Samuel Smith beers. They also have all your usual Mexican beers that you find everywhere. Service is hands off, just one or two cashiers at the front counter and no one I’ve met here is beer knowledgeable. This is just a barely average store, but I’m afraid it’s one of the better stores in the Quad Cities. Sad. You can buy Powerball tickets at the service counter in the grocery store.

Pretty good selection for a supermarket. Nice choices of local micros and micros from outside Iowa, Illinois. Watch for dates, I got a pretty old bottle of Bad Elf and Santa’s Entire Butt. Need to add a mix and match section.
