84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 JCB (174) Durham, North Carolina | May 2, 2013 Right down the street from Kickback’s, so was glad to stop by on a recent visit to town. Tucked back off the street, cool little mini-warehouse vibe, seems almost like the kind of place you’d go see a show as much as a brewpub. Pretty mixed crowd, not the hipster saturation some have described. Unvarnished and unpretentious in both decor and service - good thing, and I enjoyed my chats with the bartender, who was knowledgeable and generous with samples. Beers I tried were solid to excellent. Wish I had had more time but certainly a very positive impression. Would definitely go back if ever in town. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 Leighton (390) London, England | May 1, 2013 Visited during the RBWG 2013 bus tour (and again for the Grand Tasting). This place was so hospitable it was silly. The staff was wonderful. The beers here are great and cover a wide range of styles. I’d say Intuition is one of the top breweries in Jacksonville. The place itself is large and airy with a definite industrial feel. Unfortunately I was viciously hungover during the bus tour visit and wasn’t able to try every single beer they had on tap; I did get through the best ones, though. If I get back to Jax this place will be a top priority. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 TURDFERGUSON (147) Carrboro, North Carolina | March 4, 2013 Visited as part of the RBWG bus tour. First stop and they killed it! Super VIP style with free 3-4 oz tasters of everything they had on tap, which was about 15 different beers (all interesting and some very good). Like the open air bar and staff was very helpful and friendly. Def would return for the beer quality alone. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 aobecksy (21) Middle of no where, Ohio | March 3, 2013 Great beer, their food was awesome but catered in for RBWG2013, so I dont know what they have otherwise. Clean and awesome atmosphere. Beers were the best in the area. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 decaturstevo (102) decatur, Tennessee | February 28, 2013 Great selection very educated staff. Beers are A #1 top down. If you haven’t been you gotta go. Nice tasting room nice open bar area as well. Sweet | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Sledutah (208) Utah | February 26, 2013 We made 2 stops here during RBWG 2013. This was our first stop in the morning (9am). The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers being served.
The second stop was the grand tasting.
A nice big bar wrapping around the cooler. All of the beers on were solid. One of the best stops of the weekend. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 SpringsLicker (120) Tennessee | February 25, 2013 I stopped here during the RBWG.
We were hosted at a tasting bar built right in the warehouse that houses the brewery itself. The ambiance is being IN THE BREWERY. If you’ve never been in an actual brewery (not counting the tanks at brewpubs) it’s worth a visit for that alone.
The beerlist ran the gamut of styles and were all very well crafted and reasonably priced.
Very helpful staff. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 mlunger12 (46) Orlando, Florida | February 24, 2013 Visited at the RBWG. Industrial taproom with the full brewery in the back. They opened up the taps for us and the beer was quite good. I guess they usually have on a few guest taps. I would come back. Everything I saw was on the $4-$6 range. Delicious. | 86 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 aracauna (66) Georgia | February 24, 2013 Intuition hosted the RBWG a couple of times this weekend and while I never got around to looking into the regular tasting room, the tasting bar in the main space is really nice. It’s really just a warehouse type space with a long bar next to all the brewing equipment, but the selection is huge and the beer is very good. One of the top two stops on the trip for me. Bartenders were knowledgeable and the guy actually rinsed my tasting glass for me without me having even asked. Really enjoyed this place. A must stop in Jacksonville. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 b3shine (179) Cincinnati, Ohio | February 22, 2013 This was the first stop of the RBWG bus tour, and they set the bar. Their service and generosity were phenomenal, a.d their lineup was great too. Big thanks to you guys! |
