Bayura brewers headquarters in Gijón, offers a nice rotating tap selection, focusing in modern brews (and of course their own beers). A few selected bottles spice up the mix.

Es el unico lugar que conozco de Gijon pero desde luego no me hace falta visitar mucho mas dada la cantidad de cervezas que tienen de primer nivel. Muy muy recomendable

We visited La Cervecería del Millón de IPA on Thursday 26th June 2014, though slightly frustratingly we had to kick about in Gijón until 18:30 as it doesn’t open until this time. I don’t normally mind about this sort of thing but when you are staying a little way out of the city then it can be a bit frustrating, I now feel a little less frustrated with Amsterdam pubs of which many operate a similar practice, though at least they usually open a little earlier at about 16:30-17:00. The entrance and front of this place was very narrow, however as you enter you realise it is actually quite Tardis like and goes back a long way appearing to open out further back though I have to confess to not venturing any further than the immediate bar area which is on the right hand side as you enter stretching back towards the rear of the pub which can be accessed by a narrow corridor (with bar stools) the rear of the pub is then on two levels. There were 8 beers on draught though on closer inspection only about six were available. Behind the bar there were rows of bottles and a fully stocked fridge near the front of the pub and immediately above the bar chalkboards displayed a huge list of everything they stocked. The young chap serving us was knowledgable and friendly and despite the fact that he continually said sorry for his poor English, he was actually extremely good at speaking it. The beers on offer were probably a bit more internationally diverse than El Collectione (probably spelt wrong) with trendier brews like Omnipollo, Mikkeller, Evil Twin and others of that ilk on offer here. The prices were also very good and they let you take away bottles as well as did the aforementioned bar. Loz absolutely loved this place as did I and we would have loved to have stayed here a little longer but hey-ho. A great bar and superb beer choice.
