Visited for lunch on a Friday. Restaurant is located in an out of the way strip mall on the edge of Omaha. The interior is cleanly decorated, and is most certainly set up as a restaurant. I didn’t even notice anything that could be considered a bar. We ordered several different beers, as well as a variety of the food. The food was well prepared, with a nice variety of dishes covering most regions of India. The beer (4 on draft) ranged from OK to solid. Beer prices were more than fair, $2.95 for a 10 oz pour, $3.95 for a 16 oz, $12 growlers. Service we received was attentive, and knowledgeable about both food and beer. In summary, this is an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of Omaha that brews its own beer. For weird factor alone, its worth visiting for visitor and local alike.

Stopped by mainly to sample the beers. Heard the food was great, but didn’t have the time to try it. Five different selections on tap, with only the Jalapeno beer being any good. I’d like to return to try the food.

Expensive food and decent beer. I found the place hard to find in the trip mall. I got a growler to go after trying a couple new things from samplers. Nothing special as far as brewpubs go, but might be worth it for the combo of food and beer if Indian is your thing.

Indian restaurant that brews it’s own beer. Freaking awesome. The food smelled and looked delicious... but I couldn’t indulge, I had a small meal about an hour before, but did manage to put down a couple of samosas and some naan, both of which were excellent. Five beers on tap: wheat, golden, raspberry, IPA and jalapeno, the latter two were the only good ones. There’s a small bar in the back if you’re just there for the beer, and the folks working the bar were great to talk to and treated me well. Who knows when I’ll go through Omaha again, but this place will be on the list.

This is definitely a very interesting combination: a brewpub that serves Indian food. I can’t say that I have ever heard of a brewpub like this one before. In all fairness, the food seems to be their first priority, and it shows. Our group ordered 4 entrées and shared them. They were all superb. We sampled a shrimp dish, a lamb dish, a chicken dish, and a potato based entrée. All the entrées came with soup, which was quite good. All the soups and dishes had the right amount of spice. They would have cranked them up higher if you wanted them to. The beers were OK, but certainly not worth seeking out on their own. They do match up well with their foods, however.

A lot of people slam the beer at this place, but I don’t think that they are that bad. It’s all extract brew, but usually very consistent. The IPA has been good every time I have been there. The chili beer is actually drinkable, and that says a lot for this disgusting style. The real reason to visit here is the outstanding food. UPDATE: I was recently told that the restaurant has changed ownership and that The Jaipur will no longer be making beer. Make sure that you call before planning a trip. I’ll keep you posted.

The first brewpub/Indian food resturant I have visited. Their lentil soup is excellent, but their Vindaloo was the worst I have ever had. The service was extremely slow. however, the highlight of the night was certainly their Jalapeno ale. IMO, The best pepper beer you will find.

One of the most unique brewpubs I’ve ever visited. They have excellent Indian food and the beers are pretty good to boot. Their Autum Ale is the best if they have it, otherwise you gotta try their Jalapeno.

Jaipur is a nice place to take a date or the family to get quality Indian food at decent prices in a city not known for its plethora of ethnic restaurants. Cozy and nicely decorated, you might even forget that you’re in Omaha while sitting in here. It is also one of the few places in town that brews their own beer. While the beer isn’t the highest quality, it’s a lot better than macro stuff, and you might find something interesting and unique (when I went, they had a Jalepeno beer that shows they’re willing to experiment). If you’re spending a few days here, you should check it out.
