I still visit when I’m home because their selection is the best in st. augustine and their prices are pretty good. has a pub feel to it. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 b3shine (180) Cincinnati, Ohio | February 20, 2013 This is a good beer bar in Old Saint Augustine with a good atmosphere and selection, and great service. The menu looked good too, although we didn’t eat. Definitely worth a stop. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 rdixon77 (11) Georgia | May 29, 2012 Great place in St. Augustine. Good solid selection with about 25 taps (I am guesstimating) and lots of bottles. Had proper glassware. You can get draught selections in flights or even by the ounce...which is nice for trying a bunch of different stuff. Staff was friendly adn service good...didn’t try the food. Great place to check out. | 98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 edirvin2814 (10) , | May 22, 2012 Great place close to the water. A great beer selection and wines. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 GT2 (375) Jurupa Valley, California | November 29, 2011 Pretty nice place tucked away across from the river past the Bridge of Lions on the opposite side of old town St Augustine from Castillo de San Marcos. It is past A1A Aleworks, which is easy to spot on the corner walking along the river away from the Castillo. The tap list is large...30-40 it seemed like to me at a glance but not a lot of stuff was too interesting from my end. A lot of stuff like German hefeweizens and decent European imports without a real focus on Florida craft beers. There was one Bold City beer on tap and that was about it. Didn’t see Cigar City, Intuition, Green Room, Peg’s, et al. Service was prompt and extremely welcoming- a highlight. Would definitely drop in here every time I’m in St. Augustine just to see what’s up and there could be some interesting surprises on tap- who knows. So, a decent beer bar- lots of selection but not a lot of local beers. They will do some interesting sounding beer blends like Guinness and raspberry lambic or Guinness and cider. Fun sports bar like atmosphere with a giant TV and bar stool seating. Had a local feel to it which is nice. They have food but we had dinner elsewhere before hand. | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Msumax1985 (13) Florida | November 27, 2011 Great place with lots of choices. Lots of windows so you don’t feel like you’re stuck in a cave. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 beernovice39 (196) Montana | August 11, 2011 Neat litlle bar/resturant. Good taps better bottles. Food decent. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 slang (13) Columbia, South Carolina | April 15, 2011 Honeymoon stop in. No liquor, but wife was very happy w/ wine selection & tap system. Nice layout. We sat @ the bar. Good selection of Cigar City, some Blue Point, Bold City, and classics ($7 pints of Hercules). We only had the fruit & cheeses so can’t really rate food fairly. Plan to return. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 changeup45 (102) Mount Dora, Florida | October 10, 2010 My wife and I went for a weekend getaway to visit St. Augustine. While in the Visitors Information Center I noticed a brochure for this place stating "50 beers on tap" on the cover. I was sold. Especially considering I wasn’t sure if St. Augustine had any places like this. We ended up having lunch here on a Saturday. The place was busy, with a lot of the small but with adequate seating bar area consisting of college football fans. I liked the atmosphere. This place has a little charm and a nice locals kind of vibe versus your run of the mill chain. The food is mostly salads and sandwiches. We both had sandwiches and they were very good. 50 taps was not a lie and they must have had 100+ bottles available too. Heck, I think more of the menu was dedicated to beer and wine than food! The selection was very good. I had a pint of CCB Jai Alai and a pint of Stone IPA. They had some cider on tap as well to appease to my wife. Overall it was a good time on a Saturday afternoon. After getting a slight buzz on we hit the mini golf across the street! | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 lithy (156) Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania | July 11, 2010 Pretty cool spot in St. Augustine with a nice tap list and a bigger bottle list. No frosted glasses or ice cold craft beer. Menu looked good but we didn’t eat here. A bit too open and more restaurant geared to be a good bar hangout though. |
