Friendly staff. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 esjaygee (236) Oak Creek, Wisconsin | February 19, 2013| Updated April 21, 2013 They’ve knocked down a wall, extended the bar and changed the feel of the old Ale Asylum building. Pretty much just a bar, tables and chairs and a dart board. A limited menu and six beers on tap, most of which were solid. The offered a sampler of their mainstays, but the limited wasn’t on it – I recommend they add it. Staff was friendly and courteous, a nice place to stop on the way in and/or out of Madison. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 MobCraft_Beer (1) Madison, Wisconsin | January 8, 2013 Great Beer! I really like what they did with the design and the new/really old bottling system! Great waitstaff and bartenders. The owners were hopping around talking with everyone. Good food. Overall, I think this will be a regular spot for me and would make a good business meeting spot. Really looking forward to more beer becoming available (BIPA)!! | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 cbfobes (25) Madison, Wisconsin | December 29, 2012| Updated January 5, 2013 Visited today for their first weekend of their "soft" opening, I believe they plan on having 5 of their beers on and one seasonal. Right now they just had 3 and they were all solid, so I’m excited to see what they come up with later this year. Overall, they did a nice job of changing around the place and making it their own, they really did a nice job of taking the "Ale Aslyum" vibe out of it and made it different. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and eager to discuss the new brewery. Ryan the brewmaster even invited my son and myself into the brewing area while he was preparing his Black IPA. $5 a pint might be a little pricey, but if the beers are good I have no problem paying that. Cool vibe and good beer, this will become a regular stop in no time. |
