There for their 1st anniversary party. Because of party, hard to find a seat in small place, and parking also a bit tricky, but manageable. Did a good job redoing the old Ale Asylum building without losing the character. Beers were all very good--maybe 8 to choose from plus extra for the party. Food was interesting, and perhaps a bit pricey, but excellent quality and tasty. Will definitely come back when is less crowded to get a more personalized visit. Bartender was great (Meena?)

Had an enjoyable visit here. Only six beers on tap. All six were very drinkable. Service was very good. Ordered a sandwich from the limited menu. It was very good and priced fairly. Parking was a bit tricky. For sure worth a visit.

FMG delegation visit 5ix13, sat outside near the hop hedge in full bloom...Very new feeling complex on an industrial lot, which would benefit greatly from some kind of cozy atmospheric element, while their beer range expands, to draw and keep the crowds. Stand-offish anthracite&poison-green laboratory logo might be an edge look, but does not enhance overall bar atmosphere...Above average but still young beers looking to grown/ferment into their own character. Tasty enough and lovingly presented quality pub food which was a bit pricey for the portion and location. Friendly and professional young service, considering the size of our group.

I didn’t realize until we pulled up that this was the same location that Ale Asylum was in a while back. Very large building for such a small brewery but I guess they got it cheap and are hoping to expand. Actually the system isn’t that small, it looked like a 15 bbl system. The beers were lackluster but they had some interesting takes on traditional styles and the employees enjoyed talking beer to us. If they make better beer I wouldn’t mind going back as the facility is huge and could accommodate a lot more people. Hopefully they’re just young and still working out the kinks.

This still retains the atmosphere of the old Ale Asylum brewpub previously located here but with a new paint job. There were five beers on at the time. You can do full pints or samplers depending if you want to tick or just enjoy a good beer. I’m hoping that they can stick around.
As with Ale Asylum parking can be an issue though you should normally be fine unless it is exceptionally busy. The food is solid although being locally sourced not cheap pub fare. Overall this is a good place to hit up near the airport.

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon. Located in an industrial complex, it has the expected warehouse appeal, but manages to pull off the feel of a European techno club. The staff and clientele were both super friendly and helpful and the beers were textbook examples of advertised style. Wish I could spend more time here. (Brewery #605)

They’ve knocked down a wall, extended the bar and changed the feel of the old Ale Asylum building. Pretty much just a bar, tables and chairs and a dart board. A limited menu and six beers on tap, most of which were solid. The offered a sampler of their mainstays, but the limited wasn’t on it – I recommend they add it. Staff was friendly and courteous, a nice place to stop on the way in and/or out of Madison.

Great Beer! I really like what they did with the design and the new/really old bottling system! Great waitstaff and bartenders. The owners were hopping around talking with everyone. Good food. Overall, I think this will be a regular spot for me and would make a good business meeting spot. Really looking forward to more beer becoming available (BIPA)!!
