86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 pablo951 (24) Chicago, Illinois | May 5, 2013 Located in the South Loop Downtown Chicago. They have approximately 20 beers on tap, mostly regionally craft and mid-west brews with some national and the obligatory macros. The mid-west and locals are the way to go, especially with Revolution, 3Floyds, and Bells! They have a ton of bottled beer ranging from international delights, National Crafts, Local Options, and the always present macros. They do not serve food but hey allow you to bring in food. They are next door to Flacos Tacos and Hacneys (burgers). | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Theydon_Bois (372) The ’Sham, England | November 11, 2012 Visited after 11pm on 03/11/12.
Single roomed bar with plenty of seating, was busy enough but we bagged a table. Got a little busier around midnight, then thinned again by the time we left at 1am.
Decent tap and bottle list, around 20 on tap and 100+ bottles, solid choices including one mor more from ... Bells, Three Floyds, Dark Horse, The Bruery, Two Brothers, Oskar Blues and Revolution.
Service was decent enough and friendly. Food was limited to popcorn and frozen pizzas. We had the latter as we had not eaten all evening - it was ok.
a few doors from Hackney’s Printer’s Row. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Capa (248) Manama, Bahrain | October 22, 2012 Stopped in a few times during my long weekend in Chicago. Lots of taps- all good stuff. A few FFF, Bells, other local options and the more popular national craft brands. Friendly, helpful, quick bar man. Was pretty crowded each night we stopped in. A few tvs above the bar for the games. Fair prices. A real nice little bar. | 60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 3fourths (1082) Straßgiech, Germany | July 6, 2012 more than a dozen taps but during my visit they were renovating and had NO draft beer available. draft menu from before this change looked okay but didn’t have anything special - a few macros and a mix of common regional and local taps. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 MrChopin (100) Baltimore, Maryland | November 21, 2011 Long, one room wood bar, dead empty at 12p on Friday. Bar seats 20, maybe another 30 at tables. 17 taps, some swill, two FFF beers and three Bells. Standard Whiskey. Chatty bartender, traded DL stories and distro knowledge. Friendly bar, right down in the loop apparently close to an amazing local Mexican spot. |
