I had to evaluate this one for work to see if we could host an interagency and civil-military icebreaker there (the answer is yes). Ample strip mall parking. Large place with multiple sub-sections. Take-away on the left, dine-in on the right. Dine-in consists of two rooms, with a bar in the back left corner. Staff is friendly, and even the table staff know their beers. The BBQ is decent enough, everyone in our group who ate lunch went away happy. Beers included some local stuff I hadnít seen before, and even a kiwi beer (the country, not the fruit) which was new to me. Worth a stop. Oh, and you can book one of their rooms for a group at no cost and no bar tab minimum. Whoa.

Located in the middle of a strip mall, but the interior is nicely laid out with two bars and plenty of TVís and projectors. Service was good as was the selection. Fair number of taps that seem to rotate very often. Food (assuming you like southern-style BBQ) was fantastic with great meats and sauces. Overall, a very nice place for a craft brew and some food.

A nice, quaint BBQ joint just outside Laurel, that has a separate entrance for pick-up/to-go orders. We ordered a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving, and while I was there, I had a couple beers from their ever-changing, fresh selection. The place smells like fresh smoked meats, mmm. The service is helpful, and the beer selection good.

Great BBQ spot right of Route 29 near Columbia. The recent expansion in the last year or so has been a major improvement. Dimley lit with a tv always in view. A place you can go to watch the game or go for dinner with the family. Bourbon barrels built into a bar is a nice touch. Selection of bourbons at the bourbon bar and a great selection of beers. Large selection of styles and brands. They have always had Guinness on tap and pour it properly. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable , and helpful. And with all that good stuff to say the food is still the highlight. Great BBQ! Highlights are the pulled pork, spicy pork sausage, Jalapeno pork poppers, and donít forget the old dirty wings.

Ambiance: Typical mid-Atlantic bbq joint, but with an extremely high per capita television ratio, including at least two giant wall projections. Clean, spacious. Nice to see Corsendonk and Heavy Seas beer signs instead of Bud Light. Service: Waiter was oustanding and friendly. Food and beverages came quickly. Selection: 20 rotating beer taps with basics (Yuengling Lager, Guinness) to some surprises (Ommegang Cup o Kyndess, Rogue Shakespeare Stout). They also offer flights of 4 oz beers. Never been to a bbq place that offered that! Served in proper glassware too. So, for a bbq joint, Iíd say the beer selection is top-notch. Food: Some of the best bbq Iíve ever had outside of the south and midwest. The deep fried pork balls are a great appetizer, and the hush puppies are the size of softballs. They have a íbread pudding of the dayí for crying out loud, whatís not to love? Everything was delicious. Value: Reasonable. Took a buddy for lunch after a beer field trip to State Line Liquors and the Perfect Pour. Two beers each, shared appetizer, sandwiches (+2 sides) for each, and a dessert for each ran $80, including tip. Overall: If you like good barbecue and good beer, this is a great place. Itís only about two minutes from the Perfect Pour in Elkridge, Maryland, which is probably the best bottle shop in the state.

Located in a strip center midway between Baltimore and Washington, right off US Rt 29. Primarily a BBQ restaurant with a small bar that has ten good choices rotate on tap, including Southern Tier, Flying Dog, Lagunitas among others on the last visit (and a Miller Lite if so inclined). Plenty of bottles on display as well. Food and service were excellent (youíll love the hush puppies), and the food was very reasonably priced. The everyday prices of the drafts were a little out of line. Bartender mentioned that they are going to expand and add about 20 more taps, which should make return visits a must. They need to get rid of the mason jars and use proper glassware, though.
