Cozy bar with a decent beer selection. Seating outside with some heating for smokers.

Kodu is open when its open, says the label. Small cozy place. I went there for Kaido Loppes Kõduõlu. Old baroque style armchairs, fire in the fireplace, good beer. There is nothing else you could want from your Sunday evening.

A bit strange entry to get here, only few A4-printed papers on doors. Kaido Loppe’s Hiiu Koduõlu is your reason to come. They have also small but decent selection of Estonian and other beers (eg. Fullers Vintage, some Mikkeller). Smoking is allowed next to fireplace. Yes, they have a fireplace!

New to me, I’m disappointed that nobody told me about this before. Right up there with other 4 big places range-wise (they all share the same importers due to stupid restrictive import laws). Atmosphere is very cosy, lovely arched cellar bar fireplace in the corner. Not exactly following the letter of the anti-smoking laws, but it’s at an easily forgivable level (you smoke in the fireplace). Big win is the Kaido Loppe’s Hiiu Koduolu, which I probably last had as one of the entries in the koduolu competition. The third bar to get koduolu since I arrived in the country. Don’t know if it will be regular or not. We’ll see.
