86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Strebs (104) St. Louis, Missouri | April 21, 2013 This is the most quintessential neighborhood bar that chose to offer quality beer that I’ve visited. It appeared that everyone knew each other, or soon will. The beer selection wasn’t overwhelming, but covered all the necessary bases. You can order food from the next door farm-to-table restaurant, Lot 2. Highly recommended. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 The_Chad (10) Omaha, Nebraska | May 2, 2012 A great bar in the Heart of Benson. Tons of draft beers, tons of bottles. The staff is fairly educated on their offerings and the management is extremely well educated. They have a great variety so no matter what your mood you can find a brew for you. The atmosphere when I have been in there has been generally classy. The clientele is all over the place with your typical Benson hipsters to white collar beer geeks, to the layman drinker. They cocktails are also very tasty and bartenders seem to know their way around some cool old school drinks.
Overall, a wonderful addition to the Benson bar scene.
Make sure to check this bar out and then Hop over to Jakes, or Beercade. If you head midtown hit up Crescent Moon. And if you make it out west make sure to check out The Lauter Tun. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 jjmiller49 (1) , | January 31, 2012 Good ambiance, good service, and a good beer selection are the only things that I look for in a bar, wanting anything else would just be being picky. Krug Park has all of these things. My bartender Eric was super friendly, knew a lot about the large selection of beers available, and was always willing to make a recommendation. If the space was a bit larger and they offered more food, this bar would be the only place you’d ever need to visit. But, after all, it is a bar and as long as there is beer, and enough of it, who cares about food? Overall, Krug Park is highly recommended. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 RateandPillage (12) Atlanta, Georgia | December 23, 2011 Visiting family in Omaha and was recommended by head brewer at Upstream Brewing. Surprised that it wasn’t listed on RateBeer yet.
Have always went to Crescent Moon for great beers on tap before. Krug Park is definitely more upscale feeling and has as much or more to offer on the beer side. Bartender Sara was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Don’t really offer food besides Brooklyn Salsa and chips, which were very good by the way. But, you can order from other area restaurants and have brought in.
Just opened in Summer 2011 in the Benson neighborhood. This is definitely a great beer bar addition for Omaha and a must visit place for beer afficionados. |
