UPDATE: No longer doing retail sales. Expanded restaurant/bar area and continuing to serve good beer, but still mostly a fine and food place. -------------------------------------------- Great little shop/wine bar. Definitely a bigger emphasis on wine (because itís the bigger seller) but the owner knows his beer and has a great selection of domestic micro-brews and imports. Have never had the food, but they run a full-service restaurant and also sell cheese and sausage in the market. Prices on single bottles are a little high, but itís typically things I canít find elsewhere.

After schlepping to Wegmanís and Total Wine I wasnít expecting this. Itís a combo wine store, beer store, and patio bar. The beer is most definitely in the basement. They have 3-4 coolers plus three large bookcases for sixers and large bottles. What they lacked in quantity they made up for in quality. They also had a number of Italian, French, and Quebec beers that no else in the region has which is always fun. Whoever their beer person is taking the gig seriously. Prices were good on somethings a bit over on others, but if Iím in the area Iíll definitely be back.

Small beer selection down in the cool basement. Has some rare beers that I havenít seen elsewhere. DiarmaidBHK will upload them later. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

This is the downtown location. The closed the Plank Road location as the anchor store in their strip center closed and they then felt that location was redundant. Iíll have to disagree as that store had the better beer selection. This selection is SMALL. Beer definitely takes a back seat to wine here, but at the same time, the selection is good. 4 or 5 narrow shelving units house the beer, but they are tall and have some of the better stuff. There are some other random beer selections around as well. All the beer is downstairs. Overall a very small selection but stocked by someone who knows beer. The people were nice. Parking was easy for me but its street parking so I guess it could get tricky. Prices are competitive. I imagine this is still the best selection in the area.
