92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 NachlamSie (447) Tennessee | January 20, 2013 This was an awesome stop! On a Friday afternoon it was lively. It’s a two story pub with brewerania all over. A bar, tables and foosball are downstairs. Upstairs is a pool table and a comfy couch. They had a smoked beer, major props. The IPA is absolutely top notch as well. They do growler fills and have cans of the IPA to go. No food whatsoever. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | December 17, 2012 Taproom up front, brewery in the back. Beers were the best I had in Albuquerque & Sante Fe. Great vibe, friendly atmosphere. Jeff is a terrific host. Meeting up with the RateBeer crowd and friends here over a bunch of great beers was definitely the highlight of my New Mexico trip! | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 20/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | December 8, 2012 Stopped in around 5 on a weekday and it was pretty crowded. Located in an industrial area in the NE quadrant. No food in house but food trucks outside. Sat at the bar. Surprisingly warm and homey for the exterior and area. Nice bartenders; bearded dudes or super cute gals. I think I counted 12 taps and menu slots. 11 were on and it seemed like 4 or so were permanent. Beers were amazing. Had already been really impressed with a couple NM brewers but this one takes the cake. Prices were good. No complaints here. The must-visit place for Albuquerque. | 100 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 20/20 bradleydehaan (1) , | November 4, 2012 Best beer around! | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 miketd (124) Cleveland, Ohio | May 14, 2012 Great place, great beer and great people, what else can I say? Parking was ok when I was there, but I could see how it can get limited at peak time. No food served in the bar, but the food truck was there both times I went. Quite a lot of space inside, with a second level containing a pool table. The beer here is great and it is easy to understand when you see Jeff running all over the place. Best place in NM as far as I’m concerned. | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 smaynard6000 (11) Albuquerque, New Mexico | May 9, 2012| Updated July 11, 2012 Small place in NE Albuquerque. The beers are fantastic. I’ve had a few at other bars around town and the two I had today measure up to the high standard that La Cumbre has set. Friendly service and friendly patrons. The mug club is a great deal and I’m likely to join soon. An enjoyable place and I’m sure to be back. This is definitely my home for good beer in Albuquerque. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 nbutler11 (301) Phoenix, Arizona | March 28, 2012| Updated July 11, 2012 Love this place. A bit out of the way for visitors without a rental, but it would be worth it to cab it. Awesome space and a hell of a selection on tap. Expect this place to be busy, but it’s worth it. Jeff Erway is the man. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 csbosox (13) Prairie Village, Kansas | February 1, 2012| Updated July 11, 2012 Made 3 trips to the brewery during my days in Albq. The area is unusual, it is pretty much in a commercial/warehouse district, but with quick access to the highway, it doesn’t really matter. The brewery has space at the bar for 10-12 people and lots of tables throughout and some nice leather chairs. There were 10-12 taps (with one guest beer one) and a couple beer pumps. Nice variety in the beers and everything was well made. Snacks were provided, free of charge (I think) and there is a water dispenser so you can stay hydrated. The staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly, it can get crowded and it can take a couple minutes to get a beer on the weekend, but that was not really a big deal. The mug club is a great deal. There are lots of friendly regulars and a nice diverse mix of people. Kid friendly. They don’t serve food, but there was a food truck parked outside one night that had a great hot dog with green chili’s, cheese and bacon. Looking forward to my next visit. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 Oakes (612) Savusavu, Fiji Islands | October 29, 2011| Updated July 11, 2012 Fairly big place - bigger than I was expecting. Lots of great brews on tap. Tasted a few, had a pint. Lots of people were coming in for growlers. The parking is probably an issue, as there aren’t many spots at the building itself. They don’t have a kitchen. But Erway’s making some nice stuff and this should be on the list of for any beer lover passing through town. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Beershine (593) The Sunshine State, Florida | October 14, 2011 Excellent tap room! Large and comfortable, lots of seating. I could bring my computer and work here! And great, great beers. |
