Visited this brewpub in Montreal on 1.12.2015. Quite centrally located. Alignment of this pub is not perfect, 2 floors / very narrow hallway and small bar impeding a better atmosphere. Beers are ok, they had a Pale Ale from the Hand Pump and a Cerna Hora !!!!! (they receive hops from the brewery!!!) brewed on site. Service friendy. Overall ’average’.
Cool little place with lots of light colored wood interior. Pretty dead on a Saturday night but that was fine by me. Beers were fair but id say a bit dissapointing. The Czech Pils was by far the best of the samplers we tried. The rest of the beers ranged from average to bad. Nice staff and cool place but the beers make it so I probably wouldnt come back with so many other options in Montreal.
Stopped by a couple of times now over the past week. A nice focus on lagers which is a welcomed change of pace. However, I had mixed experiences here, with slow service and average food. I also wonder if the beers were at their freshest, particularly the Cerna Hora which just felt tired and not bright at all the few times I tried it. Regardless, a nice spot to hang out along Rue Saint-Denis.
Pretty classy place. Nice light wooden furniture and decor. They list all the beers above the bar so you can easily see what they’ve got. Small bar so you can’t really sit there, but plenty of seating in the upper level near the door, then a bit as you go down to the bar, and then more in the back in another elevated area.
The beers are largely traditional European styles and I thought the lagers were pretty nice. They had some stuff like an Imperial Stout and IPA, but those were not as good. One thing that might be annoying to visitors is that during the day, they do taster flights for much cheaper than at night and at night you have to buy full pours. So, if you’re looking to try a lot of their beers, then go during the afternoon as it’s much cheaper and you don’t have to order full glasses.
Anyway, this was a pretty solid place all around. Seemed to be pretty reliable in terms of being able to acquire a reasonably good beer. Reasonable pricing, good service, and a nice enough place to hang out.
Right on St-Denis is this small multi-level brewpub with lots of pale wood furniture, a small nice terrace out front and an even tinier terrace out back. Good service and friendly staff with tasters in the 2$ range and about a dozen beers on tap. Somewhat maze like but cool.
Really enjoyed this place... great courteous staff with crisp focused german style offerings. Ordered the duck wings and they were served promptly with great presentation and delicious flavors. Atmosphere was a bit more refined and cliental was respectful and a bit more mature than its close by neighbors.
A nice place near to the metro station Berri-UQAM. Nice and clean place. The service is fine and the beer selection is ok. You will find difference beers on tap from the brewery. The food is nice and good. That’s a really nice place. I recommend it.
