Split level pub facing Kingís Square where the Duke Of York is also situated. The nicest part is arguably the lower level part by the window, which has a few more tables than the rear area which houses the small bar on its right side. Here youíll find several regular York brewery ales alongside a few guests. Itís a comfortable place, although somewhat simplistic given itís central and has no problem getting people in, probably lots of single day tourists in the main.

An old building in the centre of York, close to the Shambles, but only a pub since 2000. Predominantly serving York Brewery beers, there is an emphasis on food although the atmosphere is calm and quiet, normally. Pleasant little outdoor seating area. Itís fine.

A nice place in York featuring York Brewery products. There was a loud hen party (or ladies 50th birthday party) when we were there, so that was a bit annoying. They were drinking Old Speckled Hen and laughing hysterically about it. I note that some pubs in the UK have policies against these sorts of groups, but whatever, it was interesting. Some good ales.

Nice place. Lots of assistance from staff. Not large, but thereís space enough in mid-afternoon. Beers were in good condition. Good place to rest the feet. And drink a few halfs before continuing travel.

Stumbeled upon this place during our Scotland trip - Located in the center of York. Typical English style pub, friendly serving, local York beers. Worth a visit when in the neighbourhood.

Central located outlet for the York Brewery with four of their own and two guest ales on cask. Itís comprehensive pub, laidback and friendly. Their two sausageís dish, even recommended by Germans, tasted fine and our cask ales were in perfect shape. Smiling, hard-working staff (visited on a Saturday pub crawl in York, 26.01.2013).

Visited on 22/1-2013 on The Jorvik Trail. Nice pub, close to the city center. Friendly staff, the bar is in the center of the pub, several barrels are used as tables. Small beergarden as well, not sure if they do food. A very mixed visitors at this pub, every tuesday live music ( a bit loud to my ears!! )...

A rather Spartan but friendly pub with six hand pumps. The Last Drop is situated very centrally on a little market square at the top of the Shambles. It has three regular York beers (Terrier, Centurionís Ghost and Guzzler) and four guests which, when we were there, included another York beer (Decade) and Batemanís Victory. Two taps were off. Itís one of the York Brewery pubs and has the same tables made from barrels as the Three Legged Mare, which is a short hop away. It has a large shop front window and seems to cater for hungry shoppers with sausages being the house speciality. The sausages sound like a cut above the usual and you can have a Bangers and Beer special: two sausages with mash and a pint of York ale for £6.95. CAMRA members get 10% discount on the beer but, as it was a Thursday when we were there, it wasnít necessary to produce a card because everyone gets 10% discount on Thursdays!
