80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 JohnC (147) Mission Viejo, California | January 26, 2013 This place was hopping when we got there, but still the service was great, the staff was friendly and I enjoyed the selection of their beers. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 womencantsail (390) Garbage Grove, California | October 29, 2012 Former Green Flash facility with much of the same feel to it. L-shaped bar where you can order and check out what’s on tap with another bar with seating next to the brewing equipment. Kind of quiet on a Sunday afternoon, just a few other patrons and one bartender. Quick and friendly service and good prices on the flight (10 samples for $10). Beers were pretty decent, particularly the IPAs. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 anaheim1983 (3) Anaheim, California | August 12, 2012 Neat palce....decorated much better than when it was the old green flash. Cool bar and big wooden doors. Bar staff was super friendly. Fair selection for how much bigger this palce is than its neighbor Aztec. Did not have and food. Food truck was there. Overall I am glad I came back down south to check these new breweries out | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | March 26, 2012 Industrial brewery in the old Green Flash Location (obviously less crowded as they are quite a bit smaller). Parking was fine, and it was not too crowded. Long tasting bar with a bartender (she seemed reasonably knowledgeable). Sampling flights available at a reasonable price. Credit cards accepted, but you can not tip on the card. Pretzels for snacks. The brewer is formerly of Back Street Vista (and before that Alpine). He can make some seriously good hoppy beers, but I don’t think he has really dialed in his system yet. None of the beers were bad, but none were standouts. The lineup was really generic (blonde, wheat, brown, porter, IPA). That said, I am hopeful that this place will start brewing some very solid beers once they hit their stride. |
