70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 strongpieman (97) Mount Airy, Maryland | December 24, 2012 Restaurant with good food and decent beer. Biggest complaint is that the beer was way too cold. That is ok or even necessary for bud light, but not a good beer. Food is very good and service friendly and knowledgable. Recommend that you order beers and let them warm on the table for 20 min.
| 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 mikem409 (161) bloomfield, Michigan | July 9, 2012 very cool gem in downtown royal oak its a fish restaurant but they make some decent well priced beer | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 KPD (119) Michigan | July 1, 2012 Good crowd on Saturday for dinner. 8 beers on draft, flight of all for $5, small samples but adequate for tasting. Then can get 8 or 16 oz drafts. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the beers. The pils was nice and sessionable, the scotch ale was good and they have a good ipa and blond ale. The mussels were very good and lots of good choices for dinner. If you like seafood and beer this is a good place to visit. | 66 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 jrallen34 (271) Chicago, Illinois | March 31, 2011 A seafood brew-pub in northern Detroit just sounds like a recipe for disaster. Totally skeptical to come here after Olga found this place. Thankfully, we did and this place was a stunner. Its not your typical brew pub, this place is more about the food, the beer seems to be an afterthought or hobby. The atmosphere is pretty weak and chessy with fish tanks and weird old decorations on the wall....The service was average, not beer knowledgeable, not friendly overall... The beer was above average brew pub fare. They had 5 regulars and 3 seasonals available. The serve them as a sampler for like 8 bucks, great deal, except when you see the serving sizes, 2ozs at best. They come on a nifty menu with descriptions, bonus. I didn’t note any bottles or guest drafts, didn’t ask though. The food is very good seafood, shocked again.
A very pleasant experience, I would come back. The beer is good, so is the food.
| 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 walleye (39) Sterling Heights, Michigan | January 13, 2008 Finally got to go here for dinner. went today, sunday. only a few table with customer the bar area was pretty full. liked the ambiance was a little noisey for the few people that were there. food was great I had the catfish my wife had the salmon ravioli and my mon had the white fish all were very well perpared and tastey. now to the importent part the beer started with the sampler of 7 beers before dinner all were very good. I chose the golden pilsner to have with my catfish. If you are ever in the area this is a must stop for dinner and beer | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 Aggie80 (14) Michigan | September 3, 2005 Excellent place for dinner and beer drinking. Up scale but not snobbish, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Visit prior to catching a show or concert in the area and you’ll make points with the Significant other and get your beer fix in. And one doesn’t feel out of place with well behaved children. Some very good beers, too! | 40 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 3/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 9/20 Eyedrinkale (129) Astoria, New York | June 21, 2005 Not a bad place (but I say that because it’s walking distance to my house). Go during Happy Hour which is until 7:00 where you can get $2 pints of their six or so beers. HH appetizers are good and about $4. The best selection is the porter. Nice wine selection as well. | 64 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Brad (16) Berkley, Michigan | March 30, 2005| Updated June 28, 2005 Nice place to meet friends for drinks and appetizers. Not to bright, but it also doesn’t have every light turned off, creating the perfect ambiance. The food is amazing, seafood mostly, with burgers and other typical pub dishes. They always have at least 4 or 5 beers on tap from their own brewery. The wait staff is very friendly, and the waitresses are for the most quite attractive. Definately my local hangout when I feel like getting out of the house. |
