82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 GTAEgeek (103) Atlanta, Georgia | December 27, 2012 Small building just off the Lawrenceville square. Nice interior, with big windows and a artwork for sale on the walls. The waitstaff and bartenders are friendly and helpful, but not that knowledgeable of the beer. The beer, however, is great. There aren’t many taps, but the selection is great. The beers rotate frequently, and there isn’t a bad beer on the list. The beers are a little overpriced. The food is excellent. Overall, this place needs more seating (but they are building a patio area, so I guess they know this), but the beer selection is the best I’ve found in Gwinnett. I’ll be back, when I’m in town. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 Westmeister (53) Atlanta, Georgia | December 5, 2011 Small gastro pub style eatery right on the Lawrenceville Square. Really a hidden gem in a land where hardly good beer is to be found. Really good food at good prices. The tap selection, although limited, was extremely impressive. (Had Mikkeler SLH when I was there). There are no bottles, so I imagine, the taps will rotate frequently. Overall, I was impressed and will be going back when I visit the folks again. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 Cybercat (138) Georgia | November 12, 2011 When you walk in, you know that this is an intimate, laid-back, unpretentious neighborhood bar. Decor is minimal, and the music is just loud enough to hear but does not interfere with conversation. There are no TV sets, so no distractions from sporting events. Waitstaff are very helpful and alert, and quick to bring you your beer orders. Food is very good and reasonably priced, and worth the wait. If you love burgers and good beer, this is a must!
The beers they have on-tap are top-of-the-line craft brews and imports. You won’t find any megabrews here, not even Guinness or Samuel Adams. Their beer list changes frequently, so you have a good chance of finding something you haven’t sampled before. From time to time they allow craft brewers to take over the place, so get on their mailing list if you live in the neighborhood!
Overall, an excellent, cozy neighborhood bar. |
