68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 14/20 DYCSoccer17 (277) Woodland, California | May 11, 2013 A fairly new joint that’s trying to go with the German Bier Hall vibe. They pull it off pretty well with a spacious, airy ambiance and some big wooden tables. They have about 20 beers on tap and about 50 or so beers available in bottles. I was hoping that this place would have German beers only, but unfortunately, they have a little of everything, with more emphasis placed on the German beers. Prices are pretty steep on the bottles of beer. Expect a 100-150% mark-up. The food menu is limited, but it;s pretty awesome. Some good sausages and the duck fat fries are awesome. Just a word of advice, it’s VERY difficult for 1 person to consume a sausage and an entire order of fries. Smoking friendly patio, which is a rarity in Sacramento. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 marcus (146) Sacramento, California | January 18, 2013 This is a bar and restaurant located in a large space in Mid-town Sacramento. Beer, wine and liquor are served at this establishment, as well as a nice bar menu mostly consisting of sausages and salads. There is a nice selection of American and international craft brews served by the bottle or from the 15 or so taps.It was very noisy on a Friday night and the service was a little slow, but then it was pretty crowded. The food is quite tasty and the wait staff is friendly. |
