50 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 12/20 stantheman (28) British Columbia | January 5, 2013| Updated April 19, 2013 Decent tap selection. I asked for a bottled list and was told they don’t have one, which pretty much answers any questions about their bottled selection. Time of visit was a Saturday, mid-evening. The service was okay.
Decor, atmosphere, glassware and WiFi all suck mightily. If you must go, go for the beer. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 saxo (112) Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark | July 9, 2012| Updated April 19, 2013 35+taps of different brews, with a good change rate. Samplers available at 8$+taxes and tips for 5. Nice service. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 mcberko (134) Vancouver, British Columbia | June 21, 2012| Updated April 19, 2013 Decent selection of local microbrews at quite affordable prices for Vancouver standards. Service is decent, the food is average / passable and the atmosphere is grimy pub-like. Good option if in the downtown area and need a quick pint or two of local craft. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Oakes (612) Savusavu, Fiji Islands | January 18, 2012| Updated April 19, 2013 Malone’s is a sports bar that has seriously upgraded its beer list. Word on the street, though, is that the person responsible for that upgrade has left. This may not bode well for Malone’s but as of December there were a lot of good beers on tap and it was one of the only places downtown that could say that. I hope it maintains the standards that made it a solid #3 in Vancouver, and #1 downtown. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 Crit (134) New Westminster, British Columbia | December 30, 2011| Updated April 19, 2013 Service was decent, reasonably priced beer compared to elsewhere. Selection is still somewhat limited, and they were out of my first 2 choices.
Food was quite tasty.
Worth a visit now and then but not somewhere I would visit regularly | 66 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Beershine (595) The Sunshine State, Florida | December 24, 2011| Updated April 19, 2013 Wow this used to be a depressingly generic sports bar and now it’s a generic and expensive sports bar that serves some good beer, which is a step in the right direction! What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in a very good selection of beer, which is lacking in downtown Vancouver and certainly during the day when Alibi is closed! And they have the sampler platter option, which is always fun. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (282) Malmö, Denmark | August 15, 2011| Updated April 19, 2013 Upped to serious beer bar since Spring 2011, the atmosphere is informal, relaxed (I was there not at pick hours). The tap list and bottle list is serious enough for making of this bar one of the favorite spots downtown. I hope they will also do some rotation. |
