Dark and dingey spoons not far from Picc station. Have popped in here a few times when catching a train from Piccadilly and I’ve not had time to get to the Angler. Beer range is adequate for a spoons but nothing special. Dark and drab, owd men and piss stained neanderthals inhabit. Nah!

Oh look, it’s a Spoons. Not exactly the most appealing either, but beer quality has been fine when I’ve visited.

Very central location. Went here for a quick bite and a pint. Pretty crowded on a Friday afternoon. Decent selection of ale. Unfortunately they were out of Haggis with neeps and tatties (as advertized in the window) so I had a Highland burger with haggis instead. Nice and tasty burger. Convenient place for a quick meal with some decent ale.

JD Wetherspoon pub always busy given its location to the main station and main square on Piccadilly. This is also full of football fans when one of the main teams are playing and as a result you’ll get served in plastic glasses that do nothing for taste and flavour. It has two rows of ale pumps but these are always the same ales on both. My partner describes this as the worst Spoons in the country, but given she has only been to 50 or so it is impossible to say if she is correct. I have seen a drunk going around drinking other peoples dregs before but they were promptly thrown out.
