A former dock station by the river Irwell in the border area between Manchester and Salford, and, in fact, within five minutes walk from the Town Hall. A lovely bar/restaurant with a separate dining area at the rear of a cozy and warming room. Offers six interesting cask ales, including house ale from Redwillow. Beers from Nøgne Ø were spotted on the bottle menu. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Classic Tamla Motown music during our stay. The food is supposed to be good and so is the riverside patio in the summertime. A good banter, this one (visited, 22.01.2013).
