74 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 devman171 (50) Annapolis , Maryland | May 12, 2013 Nice little wine shop downtown, this place has done special orders for me, nice liquor and some nice beers here, bruery, dogfish, some imports and local craft | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 11/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | November 11, 2012 Wine place with a beer selection, at the picturesque harbor end of Main Street. Small but well chosen selection. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | October 8, 2012 Stopped in here while visiting Annapolis to find a few beers for friends on our next stop. The selection was very solid, with plenty of regional and national craft brands, and with better prices than in a couple other stores in town. Plenty of singles with a mix-a-six option, lots of seasonal six-packs, and a solid, but not huge, selection of bombers and 750s. Nice atmosphere for a typical wine and spirits shop, too, and located just steps from the waterfront in Annapolis on the east end of Main. Impressive place. Worth stopping in to grab a bottle while in town. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 12/20 desurfer (103) Melbourne, Florida | June 26, 2012 Decent but expensive place right in the center of town. Not really worth going out of your way for, but if you’re walking by and need a brew, it works. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 17/20 gsmitty80 (163) Washington DC | May 24, 2012| Updated January 6, 2013 Nice beer store in the center of town. Had a pretty nice selection of 6 packs and 22’s. The store closes early at 8 i think and i didnt have much time to shop around.
EDIT: Friendly staff and a mix your own 6 pack, although nothing extraordinary. Adding a couple points. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 RodGillum601 (10) Severna Park, Maryland | January 9, 2012| Updated January 6, 2013 Nice surprise of craft selection in a store by the docks in Annapolis. You would expect a run of the mill place for tourists there. Make your own six pack too | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 17/20 Alanworth (8) Severna park, Maryland | November 15, 2011| Updated January 6, 2013 Nice shop with a nice seletion. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 15/20 porterhouse (68) Boothbay Harbor, Maine | July 19, 2011 Had a quick stop-in on a hot summer afternoon while cruising the Bay. Liked the selection and the ability to mix singles. Service was informal, almost indifferent. Prices maybe a little high, probably befitting waterfront Annapolis. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 GT2 (345) Riverslime, California | May 24, 2011 A very nice surprise- probably the best beer store in Annapolis. It is a massive wine store with about 90% wine, but in the back corner and in the back walk-in refrigerator room there is a lot of craft beer. You can do a mix-and-match your own six pack thing for $10 no what what’s in it. I had Weyerbacher 15 and Celebrator in one of mine! I actually got three of the mix-and-match packs with a total of 18 unrated beers! This place also had a bunch of random hard to find large format bottles: Dupont Avec les bon Voeux, JP Noel de Calabaza, Tactical Nuclear Penguin, Seraphim Angel. Lots of random Belgian stuff I usually don’t see in the states. Really a nice surprise. Definitely stop by this place. The guy let me have a sweet Troeg’s glass for free! | 60 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 sthlm (133) Iowa | April 4, 2009 Located in the heart of historic Annapolis, this store is heavy on wine and liquor, but still manages to carry a respectable supply of beer. In addition to those beers which I am accustomed to finding in Northern VA (Smuttynose, Southern Tier, Unibroue, Rogue, Oskar Blues, Brooklyn, Ommegang, Dogfish Head, Otter Creek, Flying Dog, Dominion, etc.), they also had a few Italian micros that I had not seen anywhere else, a couple of Terrapins, and an eccletic assortment of southeast asian beer (ok, so they are probably useful to note only if you are knocking off countries). There are a number of shelves dedicated to singles, and there was a bargain area with some decent beers that were 33% off. The staff seemed aloof, and I think tried to screw me on the price of a beer before I caught it. The feel of the store is pretty good, and the setting for it is great, as it is right by the Naval Academy and the waterfront. The prices ranged from incredible, to slightly overprices, so sort of a crap shoot o |
