Visited the place to get ÖÖ on tap. Can’t complain. Beer is fresh, bottled beer selection is ok. Not so much seating available, but youngsters usually drink they beer standing and quickly. My recommendation - get local A, Le Coq pilsner, alexander and Hiid on tap....Profit!

A small and poorly-ventilated, but otherwise quite pretty, basement. Apart from the usual 10 crap drinks, they did have a section on their blackboard titled what my dictionary translated as "for beer dweebs" with 5 ’craft’ beers on it (so yes, it included one of the shittier brewdog beers). 4 of them were crossed out (fortunately including the brewdog). As soon as I’d paid for the only decent beer in the place a tip bucket was demandingly thrust under my nose. Maybe the hipsters here like that kind of "service", but I certainly don’t. I made sure I tipped every other decent pub I went into after this more than the amount I tipped here, so that I could pretend that I didn’t give these guys anything. I have no interest in returning here - I’d rather spend the early part of the evening in Gambrinus, and then later drink Salvator across the road in Kivibaar, thank you.

This is really not a beerpub. But this is almost the only place in Tartu from where you can get quality beer. Brewdog and Mikkeller mainly. Place itself is small and absolutely packed at weekends. But ambience is nice and staff friendly (once you get used to them :)).
