60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 augustiner719 (6) , Switzerland | December 12, 2012 Stopped in here a few times for lunch and for beers. The restaurant is lined with copper brewing kettles, and inside seating is bar like. As your typical Geneva brew pub, they have 3 full time beers on tap (Blond, Blanche, Ambree). The Blanche is my favorite, then the Ambree and then the Blond. All decent but nothing mindblowing at all. Food is nice and relatively at a constant price with the rest of Geneva. I dont think you can take beer to go here, but not sure. Worth a stop in if you need a break from shopping as its on Rive (Place du Molard) and they have a large outdoor seating area for the warmer months. | 38 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 5/20 Bov (57) Bienne, Switzerland | March 20, 2012 Had terrible bad beers when I visited them back in 2003. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Pyobon (27) Sydney, Australia | September 16, 2011| Updated September 17, 2011 Beautiful location on busy square. The coppers and brewing equipment are centre stage in the pub. It’s very much beer focused, with no food. Despite this, the ambiance seemed to be a little lacking. Maybe it was because it was the middle of the afternoon. There was nothing wrong, just it didn’t keep me there very long. The three beers they have are decent, but not special. However, that means they are well ahead of most of the other beers readily available close by. The staff were friendly and served me quickly. | 50 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 3/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 15/20 JohnRMurdoch (244) Glasgow, Scotland | June 6, 2011| Updated September 17, 2011 Brewpub in the centre of Geneva close to the lake. Serves 3 of its own beers which aren’t great but are a lot better than most of the international lagers on sale in Switzerland. Very busy place & very expensive. Live sports on large screen TVs. Worth visiting if you are in Geneva but not a reson to come to the town. | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 altonbrownd (197) Brussels, Belgium | April 9, 2011| Updated September 17, 2011 Situated on a beautiful square on the posh side of the lake. The beer degustation menu was very well priced but they only had 3 of the 4 available. They don’t sell any other beers. Worse, they were all quite bland and boring beers. Service was very nice. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 Dorqui (123) Brescia, Italy | April 9, 2011| Updated September 17, 2011 Great location. In one of the much important and typical Geneve’s square. In the spring and summer you can seat directly in the place under the umbrellas. Nice presentation of thei "menù degustacion". Four type of theirs beers served in a strange door glasses.
Not much expensive for the city standard. Even if the beers aren’t a speciality. |
