Everything here feels pretty American, the interior, the selection, the staff and even the customer. Nice selection, particular on the American beers, a bit stiff priced and a bit too cool attitude from some of the staff. Still a nice place to visit, at least for a few beers.

Went in for a quick beer on a thursday night. Decent selection of american beers, decent prices (on the non-rare stuff). Staff was unneccesarily rude and slow, it made the visit a bit unpleasant.

Was here early in the evening for a quick beer. Selection is mostly US beer and pretty awesome. I did not check the prices for rare but bottles like three Floyds but at least they are available. Had Lagunitas IPA from tap which was very fresh and good plus a bottle Ballast Point IPA. Reasonably priced.

Visited ’Monks American Bar’. Prices are more expensive than other places in Stockholm. I was quoted 2500 SEK for a Dark Lord. Needless to say, that money is still in my pocket. The atmosphere is OK but it seems a little touristy in here. The staff I spoke to weren’t very helpful but then my Swedish isn’t great in fairness.

This place is now called "Monk’s American Bar" and has a very nice selection of American beers available. Tap list included Lagunitas, Coronado, Evil Twin (Yellow Cab Lager and Imperial Biscotti Break on tap!) and Mission amongst with European and local Monk’s beers. Bottle selection was large and included a good selection of commonly available US craft breweries and some not so common (Flying Monkeys, Thomas Creek etc.), but also many rarities from e.g. Three Floyds (Dark Lord and others!), Deschutes and Bruery. I didn’t even dare to ask the prices for those, as many of the regular selection bottles were very expensive to begin with. Definitely worth a visit if you are into American craft beer.

Nice to sit in the window and watch the world go by. Good selection of bottles, plenty of taps but not all in use, mostly their own beers. Staff are pretty useless, I asked for a taster tray and was given it without being told what beers were in it, took a bit of effort to get the info from the barman.

It’s good for a quick stop and hopefully good beer, but the taps are mostly the same and the service is usually slow as hell.

Stumbled upon this place while someone was out shopping. Pleasantly located next to the main shoppingstreet in Sthml this is a easy to find place with good opening hours. The selection is also really nice with lots of american and belgian goodies on the menu but also some hard to get germans as well. Good tap selection also. The staff however was not really to interested in anything actually. A place I will return to on my next Sthml visit.

We arrived Saturday afternoon just after the place opened. Large collection of Belgian, German and Swedish beers on tap. A few of the taps were closed due to the summer. Large collection of bottles. Nice, dark interior with a restaurant opstairs. Service not very informative. Had only time for a single beer, but really enjoyed sitting outside at the pretty cool Sveavägen.
