Not a bad place, but noting extraordinary either. The beer is good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The same goes for the food and service. The decor is average at best, as are the prices.
Avoid this place before/after Rams home games (itís 1-2 blocks from the Edward Jones Dome), as it gets crazy crowded with drunks.
The upstairs has some pool tables & dart boards.

Nice little bar. Too bad the bartender had his back to us the whole time and we had to flag him down every time we ran out. Nothing extraordinary about their beers. If I happen to walk by I may stop in again but I wontí make it a point to stop back.

The brews on tap were decent, nothing to brag about. Will not go out of my way to go back, but glad we visited once. The building is located in a historic part of the Landing in St. Louis, probably explaining why they are located there, being the only íbrew pubí in that area. The sampler was ok, but a few of the beers tasted the same, with just a slightly different coloring.

I only stopped here because it was on the way to Schlafly. That was a mistake. Even though the five glass sampler was only $5.25 I felt cheated out of my money. The beers are watered down shadows of what they should be. Being in the Landing I should have known better.
If you absolutely must come here then make it a quick visit. Donít be tempted by the bombers on display. If the house beers are anything to go by this place is only in business because of its location. I have not been to many other brewpubs in Saint Louis but Iíd almost rather visit the tasting room at Anheuser-Busch than come back here.

Eh. Yea, yea, yea. Kind of a nice place (the building itself is fabulous, but theyíve mad eit kind o generic inside). The beers were all lagers, and frankly not very good. The place was empty, but a lot of fairly annoying staff. I have no need to go back.

The old building, provided space, and overall atmosphere make a trip to Morgan Street worth it. The beer selection is minimal but the beers are decent. The establishment provides an avenue of relaxation for all ages.

With 5 beers on tap at a time and brewed in the back room the beer was extremely fresh and pretty good. The food was amazing, if not a little expensive. The waitress was extremely friendly, witty, and hot. When you go, park in the 5$ parking along the riverfront, it is guarded and the cheapest in the area, plus a nice walk along the riverfront after dinner is good. In the back is a club that gets hopping along about 11PM or so. It made for an extremely entertaining, tasty eveneing.

All right, Iím completely wiping out my old rating for MSB and doing it over. I went in there for the first time since 2005 for lunch today and it was better than I remember. The surrounding area, building, and atmosphere are great- the only reason I wonít give it a 5 in that category is because of the crowd this place gets a lot of the time- just a lot of tourists, sports-related crowds (not far from the Ed Jones Dome), and drunk assholes on the weekends. They have two multi-story buildings (one of which is open only certain times) and the patio in between. The service is friendly but not super knowledgable about beer (called their gold medal-winning Golden Pilsner "like Budweiser"). I got a sampler, which has all 5 taps for $5.50- there were only 4 on at the time so he gave me 2 of whichever I liked best. That was cool. The food is so-so pub food and instead of fries they have this other little weird tater tot-looking thing, albeit with a less crispy outside and softer potato inside. The selection is hard to rate at brewpubs (I normally default to 10), and there are just 5 taps here, 3-4 of which never change. The beer is mediocre but not bad. They do growler pours, and also have what appear to be bombers for sale by the door but those are just decorative. Part of the reason this place is good is because of where it is, but that also serves as a downside because of the clientele it draws. If the beer or food were better, that would be easier to forgive. Itís just hard not to imagine a better brewpub here.

i had a rather mundane lunch of cajun shrimp here, and sampled the 5 beers they had on tap. the beers were not bad, but rather mundane, i guess to appeal to a lower common denominator. i could not tell if the wait staff knew anythjing about the beer they served. conveniently located to my hotel in the trendy lacledeís landing area of st. louis. maybe i can find a good beer bar on the landing, but i havenít yet. if you can only visit one brewer while on a trip to st. louis, donít choose this one.
