78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Tide (10) Espoo, Finland | April 1, 2013 Good selection of beers from the brewery, tasty food, and affordable prices. The place is really packed most of the time, so prepare to wait. The atmosphere is great and service is good. Great place, definitely worth checking out and coming again. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 dlarmonie (5) , Netherlands | March 11, 2013 Good beer selection. Great vegetarian meals. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 sonnycheeba (61) Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland | February 5, 2013 Pretty small place, but definitely has a style that feels at home in Boulder. Amazing staff that checked in often and was more than happy to stop for a second and talk beer. Selection was great with a number of taps dedicated to house beers and great guest taps that were filled out by other local CO breweries. Apparently, February is Stout month so dozens of Stout varieties are available throughout the month. Food was good and every plate that passed my table going to someone else looked equally delicious. Cash only, but there’s an ATM in the back with just a small service charge. Very cool place overall. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 Brouwerij (16) Boulder, Colorado | October 27, 2012| Updated November 18, 2012 Nice atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their tap list is full of (10-12) great brews and is always changing. They’ll let you try any beer you ask about. The food is pretty good and not overly expensive. The french fries and black bean chili are amongst the best deals. They also recently added a small patio (8-10 tall chairs). One of my favorite places to grab a beer. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | October 20, 2012| Updated November 18, 2012 Sort of a hippie vibe like the other locations. Decent beers overall, with a lot of different beers on tap for such a small facility. Very friendly and accommodating staff that went above and beyond. Parking was a bit difficult. Didn’t try the food, but worth the stop even without that. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 gnoff (256) Mölndal, Sweden | October 9, 2012| Updated November 18, 2012 Visited with a friend on October 8, 2012. We both had the huge portion of brisket and veggies. Sampled 13 beers. Very nice service. I’d go back for both food and beers if I lived close enough for it. I can recommend this very much. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 DiarmaidBHK (523) Pennsylvania | September 30, 2012| Updated November 18, 2012 Keep in mind none or the mountain sun locations accept credit cards, but there food and beer is so reasonably priced that you don’t need them. The smallest of the three locations but conveniently located across the street from a parking garage. I didn’t have beer on the day but lunch was excellent. Thankfully it still has that Boulder hippie vibe and everyone is friendly. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Steve_0 (72) Denver, Colorado | September 13, 2012| Updated November 18, 2012 Huge hippie hangout. They usually have a few interesting beers on tap, not including the 8-12 regular beers they always have rotating. The food is good and the crowd is fun, not to mention it is located right on Pearl Street where all the action is in Boulder. They also have rotating taps from other breweries so you never know what you are going to find when you come in. Nice place to check out if you are in the Boulder area.
Also - it is CASH ONLY. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 jnkor (14) Tampa, Florida | July 14, 2012| Updated July 23, 2012 Very fun place. At the end I pearl street, visited on a week of camping. Has the feel of repurposed buildings in an established downtown, and pearl street was a shock - full of hippes. Servers were prompt and courteous. Food was great, soup was rich and full, fries were great. Only downside - doesn’t take credit cards! Luckily, not pricey. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Slipstream (82) | June 30, 2012| Updated July 23, 2012 I really like this place. It is nothing much to look at, just a box-shaped space on the main shopping street in Boulder, with a left-wing vibe and a few wall-hangings and Tibetan prayer flags on the walls. The service is great - the servers seem to genuinely like being there, and they offer you generous tasting pours on the house. The beer selection is modest, but it is all fresh and tasty, and their IPAs and cask brews are super. They sell growlers served in expensive, reusable mason jars. It is a very popular spot, and well worth a visit. |
