Wish I could give it even better than perfect score. This place has become my second home. The beer selection is always top notch and with the expansions and addition of new taps and a huge bottle fridge, you can never go wrong here. The staff become your friends as soon as you walk in the door. It has a great ambience, cozy atmosphere and being smoke free allows you to really quaff and taste your beers. Absolutey 100% worth checking out. Although it does not serve food itself, its situated in an area with tons of mom and pop food shops that deliver to the bar and the staff keep a bible of menus available for request. Watch their facebook page to see the special events happening almost daily.

This is what I would open if I opened a bar. It is like going to an old friends basement. It is not pretty, it is not perfect, it is not trying to be. What it is, is a limited but excellent draft selection with a great bunch of employees and friendly locals. A couple of pool tables and other distractions are available. It serves no food, but they are more than happy to provide menus from the surrounding restaurants which then deliver to your chair. Great concept.

Best selection in Sarasota area, but there is a children’s arcade in the bar, skee ball really.... And the owner is a bit full of himself. Bar is a bit small the staff was spot on.

Loved the old bar it replaced in this space, so it took a while to win me over, but yeah, this place is the real deal. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection, fun theme nights (including a Beer Show and Tell night that’s fantastic), and a nice atmosphere. Would like to see a few more local beers beyond Cigar City, but the CCB selection is always good. Always worth a visit if you find yourself in Sarasota.

Of all the places I have been to in Florida, Mr. Beery’s is in the top tier. Draft list is eclectic and bottles are, too. There are a plethora of different beers and different styles to choose from here, plus friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. I will be back any time I am in Sarasota. I can’t imagine what it’s like when it’s crowded, though.

Interesting little hole in the wall near a mall. Friendly service and enough good beer to keep a beer lover busy all night. Nice racous crowd but not threatening. If I lived near by I’d be a regular. Glad we stopped by.

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Mr. Beery’s. Nice but comfortable- like a neighborhood coffee shop- but one that has money to keep the place up a bit. Good selection- a cask, two randalls, a few local brews and good other brews from all over. The place was slammed and we still got fast service from knowledgeable staff. I don’t know what their prices usually are but, for now, Monday night is $10 all you can drink on tap night. What a steal! So glad we walked.

Beer lineup was very impressive. Only thing lacking on draught was more local stuff. Had a Cigar City and Green Room tap but the rest wasn’t Tampa local. Still everything was a top-notch offering. A bunch of Tvs showing the game and the big projection Tvs had couches and comfy chairs for you to flop down on. Awesome. Pool, darts, Pacman, and Ski Ball. Awesome. Barkeeper was a friendly and knowledgeable guy. I wish I had more time to stay here- I could have drank the weekend away here. Next time I’m in town I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely loved this place. Got a great vibe as soon as I walked through the door. Very knowledgeable staff who you can tell are enthusiastic about craft beer. Excellent selection of brews and they have two special rotating taps that are run through "randalls", such as an IPA run through fresh hops or a stout through vanilla beans. Always fun to see what combination they have. Definitely my "goto" craft beer bar in Sarasota. Dying to go back for a visit.

Stopped in here on a recent Florida trip. Kind of hard to find, but once you do, it’s tucked in a kind of weird bar haven--a little bit of florida decadence in a dark neighborhood. The beer list was pretty good, but it was a strange sports bar kind of feel to it that didn’t make me want to stick around.
