62 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 9/20 Short237 (1) Colorado | May 12, 2012 I love German beer, this place was almost perfect. The beer selection is small but the beers are all good. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 orvalrugger45 (2) Massachusetts | July 27, 2011 This is one of top recommendations for restaurants in the area. Great selection of german beer and food as well. For the money you pay, you’ll get your fill of beer and the some of the best food around. There is a similar german restaurant down the road in springfield; I won’t use this forum to bash it but you definitely will get the better experience at Munich Haus. At times, it does get busy and thats why i put my service rating a little lower but all-in-all, a definite must try! | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 AirForceHops (77) Epping, New Hampshire | September 1, 2010| Updated September 7, 2010 If you are ever in Chicopee, stop here! A bunch of German beers on tap and a few by near by Paper City Brewery. The staff and ambiance are great. The food happens to be real good as well. Mostly everything is homemade. Go off the beaten path for this one.
I went back for my third meal tonight. Great Bratwurst and the night bar manager is very friendly and the service was exceptional. Every time I visit; I like the place more and more. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 hophead637 (10) Lenox, Massachusetts | January 26, 2009| Updated September 7, 2010 I am a sucker for cold german beer and schnitzel. The Munich Haus has the best of both. The service is great and the food better. If you like German food and beer then the Munich Haus is for you. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 15/20 skibumphishead (11) Massachusetts | September 2, 2008| Updated September 7, 2010 Great spot with many German beers on tap. I was a regular when I was working in Springfield and I would be there every Friday at 5 with my co-worker. The service is the best I have ever experienced with friendly bartenders and quick food service. The German food is great and I can not wait to go back. I have a feeling that the barkeep would know what to serve me if I walked in there tonight. This is worth the drive to downtown Chicopee any time for dinner or a few strong German beverages. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 SlowandLow (14) Connecticut | August 20, 2007| Updated August 26, 2007 A little known German gem of a pub in Chicopee, that is one of my personal favorite hangouts. They always have two to three wheat beers, as well Optimater (for the great price of $4.25 for a 1/2 liter!) plus a rotating German seasonal beer. Also several decent German Lagers as well such as Warstiener for example. Also, an extensive wine list is available as well. A local micro, Paper City from Holyoke, has three taps all the time too, if you are into that company. The service is top notch, very pleasent and accomidating. The food is very reasonable and classic German fare, sausages, schnitzel’s, etc. Try the Hungerian Goulash Soup, I highly recommend it! This joint also holds many events such as a killer Oktoberfest, Christmas Dinners, Game Dinners, Dinner Theaters and many more events in thier separate Banquet facility. You can’t go wrong stopping here for a couple of beers or food. |
