Visited June 2, 2014.
I was less impressed with this place than I was two doors down at the cheese shop. That said apparently they have good food but I didn’t eat, it was just a stop on the pub crawl. I have to say that it looked really good. I should have eaten here. Oh well. Instead it was a quick glass of Lagunitas at the bar and then off to Blind Tiger (actually stopping first at some random place called the Slaugthered Lamb Pub on a whim). The beer list is small. They had Little Sumpin on tap along with some Flying Dog, Jolly Pumpkin, and a saison from a local brewery that I had already tried and didn’t care for. Service was friendly and it was late enough that there weren’t a ton of people in the place so getting a pint was quick and easy. Next time I need to eat something here. Seriously, look at the pictures of the food on the website if you want an idea.

This place is basically heaven. Cheese, beer, wine, good tunes. Friendly service, albeit with something of a knowledge lacuna regarding all things European. Going back to this being a beer website, the selection isn’t huge with 7 or 8 on tap but it does seem well chosen.

Had a great dinner out with my wife (courtesy of a friend who watched out kid) here last night. Our first server was very chatty and was singing the praises of Maine Beer Co (with which I agree completely). Service was friendly, efficient and the servers were very knowledgeable about the cheese on offer, just as I’d expect from a place with Murray’s in the name. Had a cheese platter, a fondue and a mac and blue cheese - we probably could have done without the latter as the richness of the fondue left us pretty much sated after that alone. Had a bottle of Maine Brewing Lunch and a pint of Sculpin and both were hoppy and delicious. Some interesting ciders are also available here. Just an awesome place for a meal.

Visited a few months ago when they first opened for brunch..happened to be also nyc beer week..interesting little place hit up prior to going to blind tiger..has a nice brunch menu..obviously world class cheeses can be had..brunch was nice but overpriced...staff was friendly but seemed to be a bit lacking in knowledge from a place that you would expect everyone to be a cheese guru..

Definitely not the beer destination that Murray’s Cheese is but it’s still a solid place. It’s not a big place but the white dominant color scheme makes it seem bigger and friendlier and of course adds q cleanliness factor which always inspires confidence in the food. I didn’t have any of the food but I was very close to swiping the fresh mozzarella on the plate next to me. Wine is the main adult beverage of choice here but they do have 6 solid tap and 6 bottle options. Also despite being busy the staff was friendly. Definitely not a beer destination but you can still g a couple of beer ticks with lunch here.

I visited Murray’s Cheese Bar today and thoroughly enjoyed the place. First I should clear up some confusion. Murray’s first opened as a cheese shop and that location (254 Bleecker) is still a few stores away, and although they sell beer in bottles (like a grocery store) this is the real Murray’s "Bar" you want to visit as a craftbeer fan. This place opened in mid-2012. Murray’s Cheese Bar is all things cheese and meats (think charcuterie)...but they also feature great wines and craftbeers. Today they had Maine Beer’s "Lunch"...a fabulous & hard to get beer along with other similarly small and hard to get selections (Peekskill, Alphabet City, etc.). The decor is very nice and the service great, and the staff a pleasure to talk too (Salena & Courtney behind the bar were great). I highly recommend a visit here for the beer of course...but also for the great food (weekend brunches too).

Located right down the street from Blind Tiger. Lots of cheese and other goodies. They have a small wall/corner of some interesting beers. And while the selection is not overwhelming in number, the choices they have there are solid.

Not sure why this place is even in here, they hardly sell beer, but they have delicious and unique food and is well worth a trip if you’re a cheesehound.

Had dinner here with Max, Andy, Chris and Mary. Wow - i instantly regret never coming here before. The food is great, and the beer menu, while somewhat limited does have some quality offerings (I enjoyed fresh bottle of Maine MO). Looks like they have a decent wine and champagne list as well. Nice chill ambiance and great service.
