64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 12/20 abemorsten (103) Mosterøy, Norway | March 10, 2013 Marko took me to this place during our afternoon in Split. We had a couple of draft Tomislavs. Nice patio and friendly service. I’ll most likely go here again next time I’m in Split. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 13/20 heavy (61) Split, Croatia | December 17, 2012 One of the cheapest regular bars in the city, centrally located on a small square in the Ghetto. Staff is friendly, you get small snacks with beers, they have two taps, both priced the same, one of which is Tomislav, which is always properly conditioned (commonly Tomislav on tap is faulted by wrong CO2 pressure or whatever). Some 15 bottles available, mostly Croatian and Czech beers. Since it has the small patio, and especially tiny inside, it’s often full. Neighboring Mosquito complements it perfectly, so as a whole well worth adding to the places. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Marko (188) Split, Croatia | December 17, 2012 Another pub located in the Ghetto of the Diocletian’s palace, but one that grew to be a crowd favorite. The interior is tiny, with a TV showing sports, Hajduk-related paraphernalia, 3-4 tables and that’s it. However, you’d only go inside during the dead of winter anyway, and the small patio, linked to that of another bar (Mosquito) is where you’d probably end up. The selection is centered on Croatian beers, almost exclusively so, and the variety is quite good - Velebitsko beers etc. However, the star of the show is draught Tomislav, which isn’t a common sight in Split (or in general). The prices are ok, and you get bread sticks with sesame for free with every order of beer - definitely cool. My favorite bar to go to for a beer in Split. And Split is unfortunately such a beer desert that even such a small range of beers. stands out. Recommended, especially in combination with the already mentioned Mosquito, whose foreign-centric beer selection fills up the holes left in Na Kantunu’s. Together they definitely stand out. |
