32 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 2/10 VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 1/20 Denverdiv (12) Denver, Colorado | February 8, 2013 Skip this place! I was hoping for a nice local brewery - this place is dirty, run down, the food was like a low grade cafeteria and the beer was flat and forgettable! | 44 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 7/20 onceblind (66) Denver, Colorado | November 21, 2011 Odd atmosphere, like a roadhouse greasy spoon that’s trying too hard to be what it is. When I went, there was absolutely nobody around to help me. I just wanted to meet someone in charge to talk beer and stuff, but nobody but waitresses were there, and they all gave me this dumb look when I said i wanted to talk to a brewer. Anyhow, this place was a bit lame beyond that. Cheapest entree was a $8 burger, though it should be noted the beer pricing is awesome--$1 pints after 8 every day?! My chicken plate had lukewarm underspiced chicken, paired with room temperature mashed potatoes. Serving temp aside, the plate was kinda delicious. Our hostess was very nice and knowledgeable about the beer, but the beer was hit and miss. I fell for the fruit beers, say what you will...but besides the stout, there’s nothing much worth coming back for. | 48 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 6/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | June 27, 2011| Updated November 22, 2011 When I visited 18 months ago, they had a lot of crappy beers including a whole lineup of six different, shitty fruit beers. I’ll check it out again and see how it is these days. UPDATE: Yep, they still have shitty beers and poor service. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 14/20 BeerandBlues2 (460) Hanover, Maryland | December 31, 2010| Updated November 22, 2011 I never visited when this was 5280 Roadhouse, but really enjoyed the visit now that it is the Old Mill. The ambiance is definitely roadhouse though. The food is very good and well priced. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The beers were a bit below average, mostly suffering from under-carbonation. |
