Sort of a weird, pokey spot that clearly used to be a lunch counter or deli. There’s bottles stashed everywhere, which makes the shopping experience a bit of a hunt. The small selection’s clearly been carefully chosen. I spotted multiple Eclipses, bottles from Russian River, fresh hoppy stuff from Maine. Prices were definitely on the high end, enough that I refrained from buying more than a single bottle. Overall, a decent option. Definitely worth a look.

Hit this place up after a trip to The Institute ... Looks like it used to be a small deli ... first impression beer packed everywhere, even in the old deli meat case there are bottles of beer .... cold coolers of six packs behind the counter ... you can walk around and find things yourself or ask Anastasia the owner, she knows where everything is .... she had some rarities and definitely had some beers that are hard to find in singles around the city .... this is a bottle oasis if your in this part of the city so load up, just be prepared to pay some $$$

Tiny beer store in Fairmount area jam packed with terrific goodies. Seriously, the selection was terrific and prices were reasonable. Anastasia was helpful in locating a few particular things I was looking for. I will be back every time I am in Philly...

Tiny joint that is jam packed with beer. Cold sixers behind the counter with plenty of big bottles and some smaller singles to peruse. I wanted some Pilsner Urquell but it wasn’t out anywhere so I asked and she pulled it from a cooler that wasn’t on display- so make sure you ask if you don’t see what you want. Seasonals, rare, limited releases, this place does have them all. However, be prepared to pay thru the nose for it. Expensive. At least a couple bucks more per sixer and some of the more limited stuff is way overpriced. Having said that, you can’t find what they have at every place so maybe that is the cost of getting a the good ones- especially since there aren’t any other bottle shops around worth a damn.

Every time I come home, or visit friends in Philly I ALWAYS pay a visit to Anastasia at OPAH. A great little beer store off of Green on 20th St. Very small, but it packs a wallop of a selection and the owner manages to get in all the hot releases and seasonals (see Founders KBS, CBS, Cigar City, Lost Abbey, Port, Bells Hopslam, Hoppin Frog) Do yourself a favor and go here. If you are looking for something specifically, ask the woman behind the counter. You never know what she’s hiding in the basement. One of the best craft beer selections in the city of Philadelphia.

Surprised no one has rated this place! This is my go to spot for daily/weekly beer purchases. Nice selection of cold six packs, limited selection of cold 22’s (many other 22’s available however). I would give higher on selection but I’m too spoiled with the Foodery and others around in the Philadelphia region. Pro-tip: Always ask for your favorites or hard to finds, many six packs are stashed in the back of the cooler or downstairs or in a closet.
