Re-opened under new ownership as a simple and characterless studenty brown café. Possibly notable because the house beer remains the Ondineke Tripel from Glazen Toren, in 75cl bottles.

Probably the best place in Aalst, which is a fairly interesting place. Good selection, good service, good prices. What else do you need?

A locals bar where quite a few tourists also stops by I’m told. I can understand why. A good selection, personal service that makes you feel special, and the room itself makes this the best place in Aalst as long as my experience goes. I won’t say it’s world class, but if you’re in Aalst, it’s definitely the place to go.

Best beer place in Aalst as far as I my experience goes. A busy brown café with all kind of guest at Saturday night. Still not to difficult to get a seat as people tends to come and goes all the time. Great beer selection and friendly service. The staff now their stuff and are proud to serve a few goodies from a stock somewhere else than the regular place. Highly recommendable.

Obvious the place for enjoying a wide selection of beers in Aalst. A friendly café with locals mixed with tourists. Some of their beers are kept in a fridge outside of the bar and you pick them by yourself. The bartender will be happy to guide you when you ask for their very special kind of beers. By carefully opening a dry hopped bottle he showed us how the hop flower jumped out of the bottle neck without spoiling the content. Well done! (Visited, 30.04.2011).

Great pub near the centre and station of Aalst. Great selection of beers, every month a different beer of the month. Good service by a patron who knows his beers and will always help you choose the right stuff!

Fantastic beers served by someone that really knows his business! I tasted serveral, including the mythical Westvleteren, some Ode Geuse, and others. Service in French, English or Flemmish, not neccessarily in that order... Definately a must on the Belgian beer tour!
