Ooievaar

One of many nice little old school bars in the area with a big Jenever (Dutch gin) focus and pretty much bugger all in the way of beer.

Not sure why this place is on Ratebeer. It’s nice and full of locals but no special beer on tap or bottle. Cozy but that’s it

Typical small Amsterdam pub which, not surprisingly, was packed on this Friday evening. Apparently they used to have their own beer, but that was years ago said the man behind the counter. He also said it was Willeke from De Prael, so actually an alias. Anyway, I didn’t stay there long. Too crowded and not a lot of choice beerwise. Not a bar to visit when you’re hunting new beers, but nice to get the traditional Amsterdam pub experience.

We highly recomend this very small café You must visit this Place and the local people is very nice and are you lucky they give you a test af local Amstermamse snack´s to out beer ENJOY

This must be the worst bar in the Ratebeer database! Only 6 beer from tap and nothing else. All 6 beers are normal beers and completely uninteresting for the beerlovers or geeks. The bar looks nice, old and well kept, but that’s all. The selection is incredibly poor, it’s bad!

This bar used to be on RateBeer before as the only place you could get the Ooievaar beer. A very distinctive and colourful place to visit.

Excellent and ancient looking little geneva cafe. Possibly the smallest cafe in Amsterdam. Only 6 beers all on tap but does include Gouden Carolus, Lachouffe and Ooievaar from nearby Prael. Highly recommended.
